Um yes I think a good goalie would have stopped at least 1 if not 2 of those goals. Marty is terrible, he has 1 good game every once and a while but to many marty apologists think its 6 years ago or something. He is terribly inconsistent which you can't have in an NHL goal tender.

This season has been by fat the biggest grind I've ever experienced as fan, can only imagine how it feels to be on the team.

He hasn't done that for 95percent of the season. At a certain point your optimism is just plain ignorance. This team isn't going on a run.

Pretty sure parise was getting top 6 minutes in those years. Henrique has played mostly on the 3rd line, with our 3rd line talent.

Silver Lining is Adam Henrique, he is really developing into a great player. 25 goals for a guy that is very good defensively and is really fvcking good on the PK and essentially most all facets of the game. And it's not like his goals are fluky either or coming in the form of empty netters like Clarkson in his 30 goal year. He's really shown us he can be the parise replacement that some people thought he would be. Right now he's our most prized possession, and even though he's not elite its not the devils way to get a guy like Ovechkin who's first in the NHL in goals and 2nd the last in +/- rating ( which is actually hilarious, given how many goals hes scored he might as well be on the ice for the vast majority of the caps goals against).

He has gone for a few, he sucks at it. It doesn't matter who we use at this point.

Nothing he has said this year indicates that he will take a backseat if he returns. That is pure speculation with no evidence to support it. Whereas Lucifer is observing how Marty has acted and making a call based on that. It is far more likely if Marty returns that he continues to believe he is a starter then it is for him to go gracefully into the sun set. Meanwhile no one is starting him 40 games a year but we are going to at this rate.

There is empirical evidence to support his claim right now, Marty at his age is still clamoring for starter time, there is no indication that a switch will suddenly flip next year for him and he will be ok in a back up roll. Totally different then making a blind assumption based on what you believe should happen.

I agree, but I think its important to aknowledge he hasn't exactly been good since the break. He needs to pick up his game.
