I also know some teams will have rookie tournaments : Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Florida in Canada Los Angeles, Anaheim, Phoenix and San Jose in California and maybe the annual tournament in Traverse City, Michigan, with Detroit, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Washington... SueNJ97 Posted July 26, 2004 Share Posted July 26, 2004 The Flyers have done this for a while, though. It isn't anything new. I remember one year Clarke invited Hayley Wickenheiser. That was interesting. It was one of the few really nice things I can ever remember him doing. He said it would give her a chance to play against a different level of competition, and it would be a good experience for his prospects to learn how to deal with her and treat her with respect.
