RowdyFan42
Rolston-Gomez-Langenbrunner I'm VERY interested in seeing how this line works together.
insanity_gallops
Personally, I'd switch Modano and Weight. Put Weight back with Guerin and move Modano to be on a line with Hull. 's one hell of a lineup, though.
MissionHockey
I figure I put Weight with the best pure shooter on the team. I really wanted to put Gomez with Hull, because I would love to see how that combo works.
Pepperkorn
I really wanted to put Gomez with Hull, because I would love to see how that combo works. As a Devils fan I must say, I wouldn't want to risk Hull un-doing all the good defensive stuff Gomer's learned. But if I wanted to have a nice line and screw the Devils at the same time I just may do that! Edited July 27, 2004 by Pepperkorn

It would fun to see Gomez setting them up and Hull knocking them down (or "in" rather), and let Burns roast his ass later.
SHEDEVIL30
But do they have a chance against the very strong Canadian team? Real questions marks in goal. Esche played well last year but will he be up to facing the Sakic's, Thortons, & St. Louis, that team Canada will throw at him Conklin and Dipetro. And who would you start? In goal that is. MantaRay
The forwards are OK, but our defense isn't very impressive when compared to the other teams.
Swede
Naslund-Forsberg-Alfredson after that we only need to play 0-0. I have a feeling that if sweden can avoid any belarus games thay will be dangerous... oh, and that goalie situation, you guys think that you have it bad

Gagne is probably the 3rd best defensive forward on the team behind Maltby and Draper. The guy is going to be the ultimate 2 way forward in the league once his offense stays for good. I know the joke was about having marty as #3 sorry 'bout that... MissionHockey
The forwards are OK, but our defense isn't very impressive when compared to the other teams. I think the defense is one of the strong sides of the team. Hatcher and Leetch pairing is pretty sick. Chelios is decent so long as he doesn't get top minutes, and if one of can't go you have Leopold ready to jump right in. Not bad I think. Also can Lemieux handle top line minutes after missing a whole season?

Hatcher was nothing like he used to be after the injury, Leetch is ageing but is still a good PP specialist. Chelios is on last legs, Leopold is nice but imagine him trying to make team Canada. Rafalski is useless without a physical force like Stevens.

Leetch can still be solid at even strength, Hatcher I haven't seen much of, but I imagin he hasn't regressed too much. Chelios is somebody I was kind of surprised made the team, but so long as he doesn't get top minutes I see no reason why he can't be effective. He will probably be captain. Jas0nMacIsaac
He has regressed a ton since his Norris season in Dallas....he was a pylon on the ice during the playoffs.
