mddevsfan
Will Lowell/Devils let him go? Considering how many forwards are currently competing in Lowell for icetime, I would imagine they'll have no problems with letting him go. Not to mention they let him go from Albany last year, and I can't think of much that would have changed.
Swede
i heard that they have talked to NJ about him playing in the worlds but that nothing was decided yet (this was a week ago though)
Devils731
I saw Bergfors isn't on the Lowell roster right now. I assume it's for this?
Belizarius
Yes, he's going to Sweden for the World Juniors... Here's the team stats after the 1st exhibition game, showing Bergfors http://stats.swehockey.se/0607/html/landu20/page0041.html
Devils731
Nice. Hopefully I'll get to catch a few of his games. I'm glad he was able to get to compete in this.

Vinnie
SI has him at #5 on their 11 players to watch list: 5. Niklas Bergfors, F, Sweden(New Jersey Devils) Just days after saying they wouldn't release him for the tournament, the Devils gave Team Sweden a massive boost late last week by freeing Bergfors to play. No small sacrifice, that. The crafty right winger is a first liner with the Lowell Devils of the AHL and the team's third-leading scorer. A natural sniper, he'll be the primary beneficiary of Nick Backstrom's soft passes. Given New Jersey's offensive struggles, Bergfors is likely to be the first player from this year's event to graduate to the NHL. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...yers/index.html
Don
The Devils have made their sacrifice. Now I think it is time for the Penguins to make their sacrifice and release Crosby to the Canadian team.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
The Devs were right to let hime go. Its all good experience No goals so far, but there you go. I see Berglund's the top scorer for Sweden. He looks very good Link I hope Corrente works out Hopefully this isnt a Parise draft sort of incident. Devils731
Watch out. You're going to get a bunch of people calling Berglund a show boat for scoring in that fashion if they read this board.
devilzibook
I'm watching the game, and Bergfors is playing very well !!! Glad to see a future devil in action
Don
He just got slammed by Staal. "Apparently these guys are aware of the Rangers-Devils rivalry".
