OK! Let's see if the board lets me get this in...

1. The Heptons - (I Cant' Get No) Satisfaction - A reggae version of the classic Stones tune...yes, you read right...

2. Propellerheads - History Repeating - Niiice...this group wasmade famous thanks to their contribution to the first Matrix movie. The song that plays over the big lobby shootout is their tune.

3. Edi Frizroy - Hotel California - Wow...yet another reggae cover! This one isn't much of a strech though.

4. David Gray - Be Mine

5. One In A Million - Hugo - A random synth/ska song from a random ska compliation

6. Red Session - Jungle - Yet another random band from a random comp

7. Chicago - Sing, Sing, Sing - Nooooo! Bad rip! This song is bouncing all over the place. I call do over!!

7a. Empirion - Ciao (Advent Remix) - Nifty electronia song

8. The Weakerthans - Wellington's Wednesdays - Yesssss...Canada's finest! Take Propagandhi's lead singer, give him an acoustic guitar and let him play some folk punk. Love this band.

9. Royal Crown Revue - Whacha Doin' Tonight? - Great hard boiled swing from Cali

10. The Police - Spirits In The Material World - Nice way to finish!

Much more diverse this time!

Aaaah, a new day, a new shuffle (be kind to me Winamp please)

9) The Slackers - I still love you

A little better today.

The Slackers? for real? cuteness! I actually don't know any song particularly - I'm just peripheral friends with them, well I think Vic the singer is the only one who would know me. I love their music even if I don't "know" it :P

That is funny. I spent a long time looking at a couple of these lists wondering the same thing - It's the second word. Nope, wait. THAT is the band.

It's band than song. I think that should be the universal method for everyone so people don't get confused.

Here's my 2nd go, my ipod was in the mood for some comedy...

3 - George Carlin - Peas

Na nana nanana, better go it alooooooneee...

Also, I approve of the Thursday

What the heck, let's go for another one:

1. Radiohead - The National Anthem

2. Placebo - Meds

3. Arcade Fire - Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover, live on some British radio station)

4. Kings Of Leon - Milk (My faux-iPod likes four letter M words tonight...)

5. Buckcherry - For The Movies

6. Rammstein - Stripped (Depeche Mode cover...AWESOME. I love hearing him sing in English)

7. Oasis - The Hindu Times

8. A Vocal Choir covering I Predict A Riot by Kaiser Cheifs. Supposedly the head of the choir is the mother of the singer of Kaiser Cheifs. That amuses me.

9. Death Cab For Cutie - All Is Full Of Love (Bjork cover)

10. The Darkness - One Way Ticket

How can you have a One Way Ticket to hell and back, Darkness? That makes no sense at all. Like Oasis' album, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. Many giants, one shoulder?

The Weakerthans! From Winnipeg, no less. I didn't discover them until this summer when I checked out "Reconstruction Site" from the library. Best musical find of the year! I've got the two other albums on the iPod, but they don't hold a candle to Reconstruction Site, IMHO.

Brenda Spencer was last up for parole in 2005 so she should be getting another hearing soon I think.....

Y'know, for as long as I've been listening to that song, not once did I ask myself, "Where is Brenda today and what is she doing?"

Guess I just made an assumption that she was no longer with us.

Almost makes me feel like a heel.
