msweet
"We may not have to make any cuts. Pikkarainen is still not healthyenough to play. He still has the flu. He practiced the last couple ofdays but still isn't feeling well," Lamoriello said. "And we have tomake sure where Jay Pandolfo is at. If he's not ready, we can put themin IR retroactive." http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2009/09/three_nj_devils_assigned_to_lo.html
Devils731
Is it a game though? Both guys haven't been healthy enough to play in the preseason games so it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to me to think they have real injuries of some sort. It's better for roster maneuvering when 3 day injuries turn into 3 week injuries The injuries start out a real for sure. In Lou we trust. ZeroGravityFat
i hope pando goes the ir to forced retirement route. it's the devils way and he is long overdue. i do love the guy though.
SatansDevils
So it appears now that the Devils will be without Elias and Pandolfo for the Opening Night game and some after that, at least with Elias. Hopefully Pandolfo won't miss many games.
xxchaznjxx
i don't think pando will have much to offer the devils this year and i'd rather see halischuk getting pandos minutes.
Devs4LIFE
Interesting comments about Pikachu (I'll learn to spell his name before October is over) The one game I saw him play in I wasn't too impressed but I guess there's something there that we aren't seeing yet. Lou seems pretty high on him
sundstrom
PL3 and Halischuk are holding the spots of Elias and Pikkareinen. i'll be interested to see if against the flyers they go with the slapshot 4th line (PL3-Pelley-Peters) or get Halischuk in there instead of one of the wingers. Perhaps he sees the NYR on Monday.
Prucenterrules
I think Halischuk should stay if he gets Pando's minutes. But if he is only going to see minimal ice time, I'd rather he go to Lowell.
