sammyk
Yep, that's all they did. I guess tonite will be a bit more in depth with Stevens??
Zamode
They have the last laugh. One question, why are they wearing away red at these functions?
devilsrule33
Sammy with Tom Green hosting it will be a mess. Just plain comedy like the clip they have on the website.
NJayDevil
Could it be because next year they will be wearing their Red jerseys for home games next year and vise versa?
sammyk
Sammy with Tom Green hosting it will be a mess. Just plain comedy like the clip they have on the website. This is true. We shall see...but at least it's not just a quick run thru the set.
LizDevil30
I thought the clip of Stevens and Green was funny. Cute when Scott is putting on the jersey and says what is this size small. I'm sure there's some conversation before the clip on the net.
devilsrule33
I am going to hate that. Another dumb move. White is for home and dark is for the road.
LizDevil30
It's because of the teams that have those 3rd jerseys that are dark that they want to wear at home. Now the away team only has to travel with one uniform, the white.
Nieuwy25
Not me. I prefer the more colorful sweaters, and it gets around the problem of traveling with 2 sets of sweaters. That's probably more of a problem for the Western teams since they have much longer road trips.
devilsrule33
I know the reason DEVSRGREAT and it is stupid. They do it for that reason alone is dumb.
sammyk
I am going to hate that. Another dumb move. White is for home and dark is for the road. Isn't this how it was before expansion? That's what I read...but I wasn't alive back then! Basically they'll be going back to the way things were. They didn't call them the Broadway Blueshirts because they wore white at home. NJDevs4978
It will be odd next year seeing the Devils in red when they raise the banner at home But I'll get used to it soon enough; they do it that way in the NFL (colorful jerseys at home, white on the road), but it's almost second nature there. It will take me a few games though to get used to it here.
David Puddy
Wait, they're really doing that? That's the way it used to be way before my time, as well, as far as I can tell from watching old '60s-'70s highlights films on ESPN Classic. David Puddy
It'll take a season or so to get used to, but don't knock it. Imagine what it was like when the switched to whites at home and darks on the road.
David Puddy
It only disappoints me because I actually like the Devils whites better than the reds.
Zamode
I wonder if it will have any effect on sales or will people still wear just what they have.
Dr. Death
I believe the Devils always wore red jerseys whenever they hoist the Cup in places like NYSE, TV shows, and etc. Devils red jerseys are pretty cool so I should get used to watching them at home. Wild green jerseys are another story though.
zenchic
OMG the clip with Scott Stevens and the guy on the late show was GREAT! I'm very happy that ya'll beat the ducks...and good luck next season..have a great summer! Best wishes from Dallas ya'll.. zenchic
David Puddy
That was all right. It's tough for a guy like Scott to be funny because he doesn't want to be disrespectful.
