  1. Exactly my reaction, I had to watch it a few times to get a good look at the name on the jersey.
  2. Oh well, let's get that pick and on to the next season! My last Devils game here before I move house.

    2013 NHL Draft

Bit out of the loop here, is this kid anything special?
  4. The more we score and the more we win, the more miserable I am. Cannot fvcking believe we're not in the playoffs.
  5. Bullsh!t call on the Canes and bullsh!t lucky bounce for the rags. Can anyone explain to me why suddenly, when we're not in it anymore, our PP suddenly comes to life? Anyone? Edit: Winnipeg just got the lead.

    OOT Thread

If it comes down to our last game against the rags for them to make the playoffs, that's going to be as good as a whole playoff run for me.
  7. But I did cringe when he went into the boards.
  8. In other news, I'm a HUGE Florida fan tonight.
  9. Why can't I not watch a Devils game? I wanted to, I really really wanted to...
  10. Probably the Ducks, they've been a team I always kind of liked. Oh, and I also do hope the best for Detroit, I've had only pleasant experiences with their fanbase and they've got quite the legacy. But in all honesty, I won't be watching the actual games until they'd make the conference finals or the SCF.
  11. And this is the first time ever I don't feel any joy for a Devils goal.
  12. They're starting to make up in scoring. Still about 50 goals to go.
  13. I'm on to what they're trying to do! We started the season hot, but then we decided that we'll try what the Kings did last year since it worked so well for them. So we lost 10 in a row on purpose so that people will underestimate us, and now we'll just squeeze into the playoffs and then win the cup!
  14. Oh, fair enough, I wasn't watching for that. Also, that was a fvcking beauty of a goal!
  15. Not taking into account Kovy back-checking, there was a devil in front of Brodeur that backed off when Goc was loading his shot. I would've thought it's a better play to go at your man rather than back off and mask your own goalie more.
  16. Ok, I've never played hockey so I might be wrong here, but when you're playing D and you're in front of your goalie and you have a player in the slot, is it not better to go towards him and take away his shooting space rather than back up and let him pick his spot?
  17. I really think this was more Kovy wanting to play than anything else.
  18. We... won? What is this feeling? So confusing.
  19. One month roughly, I went and stayed at my parents (who live in France). But apparently that's to blame! I mean with us scoring TWO goals and Brodeur making saves and stuff, reminds me of the start of the season when everything was so smooth.
  20. I just tuned in for the 3rd and I was like "Wait, who's #9 now?". Then I remembered it's JJ from the last game 9 was used. Also, guys, I was on holiday up until now, and come to think of it, we started losing when I left for my holiday.

    Loktionov

Lokti is not going anywhere, I'm 100% sure he will be re-signed. Even if his production has decreased, well, we haven't exactly been scoring a lot lately, so that's to be expected. On the ice, he has an excellent ability in gaining the zone and his passing and playmaking are up there as well. His confidence has dropped alongside his teammates', but when he was fired up, he kind of resembled Kovy when handling the puck (i.e. skating around players like they were cones).
  22. Well, deep deep down I still believe. I am very well aware that it is an enormous longshot, but if we win every game we have left (which is not impossible) and considering we play the rags twice, we just need to wait for them to slip up. They have not been playing bad hockey for the past few games, and last night the offence had a different look to it, so I for one still believe. Any word on Kovy's return?
