I agree completely, by post slavery i mean 1860-1960's I think a lot of people make the "lazy minorities" argument without realizing that they commit the "fundamental attribution error" which basically means "i wouldn't act/do this" in a certain situation without thinking about it. Your environment changes your behavior. If you were put into an invironment with crime, drugs, and low income, i believe you would act the same REGARDLESS of color. I agree. A lot of blacks make the argument that ALL white people were slave owners. I'm Irish, my people were slaves far before blacks.

I'm always the guy to go off on someone using "nigger". I don't understand why black people use this word, it's possibly the most hateful word in the English language and its almost being ENCOURAGED by popular culture, its sickening. If you're black and you've ever called another person (regardless of color) a nigger, then you're a racist. I say black because any other race (white, hispanic) would be obvious racism. I mean, I'm glad to see that our country has come so far, but we aren't the only ones, we just had the most public slavery and civil rights movements. I don't know, i'm getting of topic. racism is bad mmkay? I think the only person on this board I've ever called racist was Lou, but he pretty much admits it. And I can definitely agree with some of his logic, urban areas are mostly minority and are hot spots for crime, but it goes way back to how our government handled post-slavery days. Think of this: if you live in a poor environment and your family is of no or little income, you're going to turn to illegal ways of making money or getting what you want when you're younger. This is why drugs are so prominent in urban areas, its easy to produce and sell, and it's a great way to make money.
