This team is maddeningly inconsistent nowadays. Is it just bad goaltending or is this the new norm with a team not used to contending for a playoff spot; serious contender I mean? Schneider wasn't all that great before he got hurt, but when he comes back he had better get ready for overdrive.

The Devils could basically put a nail in the coffin of Columbus of thinking about getting the first WC. The Devils should want to stay where they are. Would you rather face Washington as the first WC or finish third in the division and face Pittsburgh, or get WC2 and face TB? Of course, that means if the standings play out that way.

I hope Sens don't do this for their sake, but, for example, if the Devils do this and get a HOF D man for nothing just to take on a bad contract is music to every Devils fans ears. I don't think the Devils would do this, but I can see the Pens or Flyers doing this.

If Ottawa wants a team that trades for Karlsson to also take on Ryan's albatross of a contract............................ It means Ottawa is getting basically nothing for their best player. I don't know of too many teams that can take on Ryan's contract and have to commit to Karlsson long term. Ottawa fans would go ballistic if they got basically nothing in return for one of the best players in the NHL.

Depending on the cost................ I think we would all love to see Evander Kane with Nico and Hall and bumping Kyle to the 2nd line. Kane is going to be an UFA and will not re-sign in Buffalo (we are believed to think anyways) and it really shouldn't cost that much to get him. What would the Devils give up is the question.

The Devils were due a game where they got some bounces, even though the other team put up a bunch of shots. Now, I just can't get off that ridiculous 5pm start tomorrow as it might be an unnecessary automatic loss.

Well, it was fun for almost half a year. I guess it's better than the 9-3-3 start last year before crashing back to reality. This year it's a plane crash back to reality as we all thought this might be a good team.

The Devils get an Islanders team on a back to back tonight that had to play an OT game and had to travel back to NYC. Plus, the Islanders got THOROUGHLY dominated by Montreal, yet still won. Can't make this sh!t up.

That loss to the Islanders was the most infuriating loss of the season and the 5 game skid is total BS as we all know, but the Devils need to end this garbage feeling tonight.
