Rock
Talking about Mogilny, Elias, cap, tickets. Basic Lou speak He's confident Mogilny's healthy. Elias is getting better, not too sure if he ready by start of the season. The Devils will not rush him. He didn't talk to Elias after Mogilny came on board, but is pretty sure Elias will be excited about playing with Mogilny again. The Devils are over the cap rught now, but Lou says "They will be under by October 1st". Fan response has been good for tickets, Devils will offer more plans closer to the season. Edit: Lou also mentioned one of the reasons Mogilny and Malakhov came back was Larry Robinson behind the bench! NJDevs4978
I'm not surprised at that last part, I was just thinking today how Lou probably was itching to bring these guys back because of the Larry connection. Mogilny loved Jersey and Larry was his coach then, and Malakhov of course same deal.
Jas0nMacIsaac
With Mogilny our PP gets so much better....he was the reason it ran so well back in the day. Takes pressure of Elias.

Takes pressure of Elias. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the big loss to the PP was Niedermayer going to be interesting to see who picks up his slack or if the unit collectively can do it Im not worried about our defence or goaltending or even scoring, with the open game Gomer and Almo are going to be great and our go to line I assume until Patty is 100%. Special teams & faceoffs is whats been our achilles heel past few seasons even with the Cup win in 03. Without Nieds thats a huge dent in our power play. Swede
didn't almo use to use randy to bounce pucks of him into the net on the powerplay when he was here the last time? I hope he can help on the pp again. that would open up the game 5-5 too.

I think we would have been better off if we would have been able to decline the PP opportunity!
ice dog
Almo is one of my favorite all time snipers...he has amazing skills. I hope his hip joint is in good shape. The year off probably did wonders in the healing process...
devilsadvoc8
McGillis has a good hard shot and Malakhov is acceptable on the PP. Neither have the skills that Neider had but they can contribute to the PP that should be a net improvement with the addition of AlMo.
