'7'
now if only Calgary finds a way to make the playoffs next year.... Emrick mentioned during the game that Calgary owners plan on expanding payroll a little, so there is a chance.
sammyk
Nucks/Oils would be nice, I wouldn't mind watching that. It even has a good chance of happening.
NJDevs4978
What's the big deal; let Nashville make the playoffs (although looking at the schedules for both teams, it's a long shot; Nashville's schedule is harder and they have more road games while the Oilers have more home games). The Oilers will be around till the lockout then hopefully the new system will be better for the Canadien teams anyway. Two or three home games in the playoffs will not be the difference on whether they can survive until the lockout or not; they're not going to disband in the next year. The NHL wouldn't allow it. And Nashville isn't going anywhere either, heck to make the playoffs from where they were would be a great story. At least Nashville gets some fans, unlike some of Bettman's other southern/western excursions. There'll be plenty of great matchups out West this year anyway. Nashville-Dallas could be just as good a matchup as Dallas-Edmonton (the Oilers themselves I think are more stale than the actual matchup. They make the playoffs every year but since their salad days almost 15 years ago they never do anything other than the odd first-round upset.); Nashville's beaten Dallas three times this year, why can't that be a great series?
