SatansDevils
6-3 or 7-2 would be great. possibly 5-3-1. It will be a good road trip for the Devils.
ludvig29
Another point to speculate... When will Weekes get his first start, and how many times will he play on this road trip? I vote for him playing October 11th vs. the Panthers, and that that will be the only action he sees on the road trip. puckrock
Honestly, I don't see Weekes playing any of the games on the trip. It's imperative that the Devils come out of it with a solid record or the rest of the season will be an up-hill climb. Hey may get one game, but I don't see it happening. ludvig29
This is true, but if they'r enot going to trust Weekes with even one game on a 9 game road trip, when can they expect to ever trust him? I think part of Clemmer's problem was that he was used so sparingly that they could never find a time to trust him with a game.I worry that you may be right, because it will be an important road trip, but we should be playing other important games come March and April in which we would do well to have a Marty who's not already up to 70-odd games... NYGDevils32
It will be key for the Devils to leave that long brutal 9 game road trip with a winning record. If they can get 5 or 6 wins, that is a great sign for the season. Even OT losses wouldn't be bad because those single points help at the end of the year right before the playoffs. Then they would finally go to their new home on a bang.
squishyx
I predict that the devils will play the first 9 games.. on the road. After that they will play a home game...or two. Edited July 30, 2007 by squishyx
stevestevens
As long as a winning record, even by 1 game is taken otu of this it is a good trip. 9 game road trips are not easy to win and is a difficult task. Playing alot of games at home helps out alot later in the season. A strong start projects the season.
devils26
I was thinking about that the other day. He's gotta play either Ottawa or the second Florida game, and possibly in Pittsburgh but I doubt it.
thelastonealive
I doubt Ottawa because Marty wants revenge. Also, I don't think Weekes will start against the Pens because Marty usually does not want to sit out against division opponents. Florida seems like the most reasonable choice. britoon
Why does no one think positive? I am going to employ my X-Box Devils team method of predicting the scores. Devils vs Lightning: W 37-1 Devils vs Panthers: W 25-0 Devils vs Senators: W 49-3 Devils vs Panthers: W 15-0 Devils vs Thrashers: W 20-1 Devils vs Penguins: W 32-1 Devils vs Flyers: W 56-0 Devils vs Islanders: W 39-1 Devils vs Rangers: W 55-0 (Brodeur scores 5 goals) See...look how we dominate. Next season is looking like another 82-0-0 season for us. Edited August 1, 2007 by britoon
TrentonDevils
Is it just me, but is predicting games 2 to 3 months away a little bit... well.. stupid?
