To summarize your post, the Devils cannot play at the same level as the better teams in the NHL. As soon as we give up the first goal it is game overt. We only have a chance against crappy teams like the Kings or Flyers who crap in their pants every time they see a Devils logo. When was the last time we even dared to think about a shutout?

Better teams will give the Devils more problems but that goes for just about any team. It's harder to play against better competition. But that isn't completely the case with this game. Sometimes I think the Devils just like to be abused. I mean how much fvcking space are they going to give Malkin so he can go ape sh*t on them in the defensive zone. Pitt has had absolutely no trouble at all getting past the Devils blue line. Thats why Marty is allowing rebounds. The guy has shots coming at him from all over the place. It's not only the D's fault. It's a team effort. They, forwards included, have to clamp down better. It also helps that they have been getting the short end of the stick from the officials all night long as well.

That last goal they scored might wind up being one of the biggest goals this season. Things were looking real bad right there. Probably won't change much in the end but 2-1 is a hell of a lot better then 2 zip

Very bad re-start to the season (post-ASG).. Loss to the Pens, loss to the Rags.. a small win vs the worst team in the NHL (who were missing their best D-man anyway), and now another loss to the Pens unless things drastically change..

We would be in dead last (division) if we didn't have Philly's number, thats for sure.
