I mean it was not to crazy to expect some type of lull after your backbone is injured. Good news is Weekes really showed he can be a viable short term filler, hopefully the team rallies around his "mastadonic" first period performance. As soon as they get it they force a pass which most of the time isn't even close to anyone other than a Sabre. If that keeps happening we are screwed but once we can string a few passes together maybe, just maybe, we can turn this around. Though I'm doubtful. I can't count how many times a battle is going on out of frame or the puck goes to the point and the camera doesn't move, and sometimes the puck gets past the pointman and there's a huge dizzying swing back. Much better period for the Devils but just like the Devils did in the first, Buffalo spent a good chunk of time killing penalties in the 2nd. Gotta be happy with the result thus far considering how big of a hole we could have been in. Gotta try to pot one here and at least grab a point. I know we were lucky to come out of period one with just on GA but now I'm wishing we could have lasted the extra 45 seconds and given up no GA.
