USC09
When I watched the World Juniors this past year, Patrice Cormier was killing penalties and he was very effective in doing so, so I think he might be comparable to a John Madden, plus he played on a line with 4th overall pick Evander Kane. I think he has a good shot of making the team this year assuming Lou stays Status Quo.
brickwall30
i am real high on this kids style of play and attitude so I would be thrilled if this was tuely the case, but i really can't see cormier coming up this fast. we have zajac zubrus and pelly slated to be 3 centers for the team next year which does leave that 3rd line center position open (because i don't think pelly is nearly as good as everyone is hoping so im sloting him 4th line center), but I think there are many more expendable options to explore before throwing a great role player type that seems to have good scoring touch and a knack for the defensive side of the game, similar to Madden circa 2000, into the fire of NHL play. the devils advocate side of that argument would be that we are already putting in a lot of young guys next season so might as well have them all go through the ringer together. Personally i would like to see him stay in juniors or the AHL if he's old enough to be eligable (not sure how old he is and im to tired right now to check), but i definatly would like to see what the kids got. ... wow i feel as though i just walked in a circle with my opinion on the matter for the last 100 words of this. i guess thats what happenes when writing at 230 in the morning . someone cue up the futurama clip about having no opinion! Prucenterrules
He was very impressive when I saw him play but I think one more year in the minors would help.
Devils Pride 26
2 years from now, down the middle. Zajac, Josefson, Cormier, Henrique.

Chorske17
I'd be willing to bet two years from now that it won't. Unfortunately, I agree with this because LOTS can happen between now in and then... LOTS...
Random Poster
Unfortunately, I agree with this because LOTS can happen between now in and then... LOTS... Not only that, but it's 3 rookie centers at the same time as your 2-3-4! No way. Josefson expected to be the 2nd line center at 20 years old right off the bat in his career? That means in two years he'll have either a) no North American hockey experience or b) one year of Lowell and then asked to be the 2nd line center on the Devils. Good luck with that. Was there any thought at all that he'll wind up in Lowell for at least two years minimum (or mandatory) until he's ready? One of the reasons they were so high on Josefson is they believe he is more NHL ready. I'm not saying that he'll go straight here either he could spend some time in Lowell. It has been said that Josefson and Tedenby will come over together after this year and I hope that's how it turns out. Cormier should have a full season in Lowell this year and get quite a few games if he doesn't make the team the following year. Zajac and Gomez both have made the jump so its not impossible.
