Niedermayer, Oduya to IR; McAmmond gets two-way deal

Friday, 11.06.2009 / 3:29 PM / News New Jersey Devils The Devils have announced that center Rob Niedermayer (upper body) and defenseman Johnny Oduya (lower body) have been placed on injured reserve. Center Dean McAmmond has been signed to a two-way contract.

Niedermayer, 34, has two goals and five assists in 13 games, and washurt in the third period of the Devils' win over Washington onWednesday. Oduya, 28, last played at Boston on Oct. 29, and did notpractice this week.

McAmmond, 36, signed with Lowell (AHL) on Oct. 20 and has a goal andtwo assists in six games this season with the Devils' top minor leagueaffiliate. He recorded five goals and 11 assists in 62 games splitbetween the Senators and Islanders last season. The 5-11, 195-lb.native of Grand Cache, Alberta, has scored 178 goals and 253 assistsfor 431 points in 934 career games with Chicago, Edmonton,Philadelphia, Calgary, Colorado, St. Louis, Ottawa, and NY Islanders.

McAmmond previously signed with club as a free agent on October 5,2004, and collected 19 goals, 42 assists in 79 games with the Devils'Albany (AHL) affiliate in 2004-05. The 16-year NHL veteran was selected22nd overall by the Blackhawks in the 1991 Entry Draft.

McAmmond has been assigned No. 11.

Might want to Edit that down a bit, It's not a lot but it's the whole article.

I dont think NHL.com is a big deal. Im a member of a few forums and most places dont say a word about copy/pasting articles. While that rule is blanket here, its only one place that ever complained.
