If coming from Boston, she'll need to go down both the Turnpike AND the Parkway (unless ya take 9 all the way).

Nah. I-95 => (Merritt Parkway) => I-287 => Tappan Zee Bridge => Parkway. That's the way I usually come home (unless I'm sure the GWB is okay).

see, now I'm close to NH so I usually do 495>290>pike>84>91>95 via GWB...

I may take you up on that one DP>..

Well, well, well, I go away for a little while & this is what happens???!! Wow, I don't even know where to start! Thanks for bringing me back to life ILB & Crasher! Sorry I missed out on the planning so far. I would like to go but I never played a street hockey game before. I have a hockey stick & rollerblades so I can try. Despite that I would like to meet everyone. As long as I don't have friends or family in town then, I will plan for that day. I'll help in any way I can. (hint, hint NJay ) ;)

Hey, I actually like that accent, especially when a girl has it.  So you won't hear me complain!

(say this out loud)

Going to college in Boston? "Mary-mutha-ah-gawd, you gotta be wicked smaht!" But we bet you don't know some things. Like, what's a three decka? A packie? How about a rotary? Ever banged a U-ey? Worn dungarees or ordered a frappe? Even a Rhodes scholar would have a tough time deciphering the language Boston calls its own. "New Englanders have had a long and strong tradition of eccentric ways of expressing themselves, especially in Boston," said Boston University Linguistics professor Michael Feldman. "It's very distinctive." Indeed ~ and we'd have a pissah time tryin' to stump ya, then make fun of ya behind ya back . . . but that's wicked mean. Instead, here's a little primer to take with you on the T, while you're on the Common or in the Gahden, maybe catchin' a Pats game or sipping a regulah coffee at Dunkies.

American Chop Suey ~ Found in school cafeterias, this delightful dish

doesn't resemble anything American or Chinese. It's macaroni with meat and

tomato sauce.

Bangin' a U-ey ~ This is what you do while driving after you miss a

turn and you have to turn around.

Book it ~ To high tail someplace, as in, "I better book it to Stah

Mahket before it closes."

Bubblah ~ Spelled bubbler, it's a water fountain.

Der ~ An interjection indicating disdain for someone else's stupidity,

as in, "The old Gahden was way betta than the Fleet! Der!"

Down Cellar ~ The basement. As in; "run down cella and get me a

dishtowel outta the drya." Derived from upstairs.

Dungarees ~ Jeans. Hardly heard anymore, unless you're at some sort of

senior citizens event.

Frappe ~ What the rest of the nation calls a milkshake. But in Boston,

a milkshake is just flavored milk; no ice cream allowed.

Fried and Bizaah ~ Weird. "That dude is wicked fried." "Yah, he's totally bizaah."

Fudge-icle ~ To the rest of the world, a frozen chocolate pop is a

Fudgesicle, but in Boston, the 's' is silent.

Nope, he came in, asked for a summary, and left. Then someone gave a very good summary, but it doesn't seem like he read it.

I figured out a circumstance in which I can go...

Since I play hockey at Fords Park a lot, I can just tell my mom to drop me off there the day we play. I'll get there early so my mom probably won't see all the alcoholic beverages. The only problem is that occasionally, park rangers drive around there, so the beverage idea might have to be thrown out. If we do this at Fords Park, the park rangers might not let us have the BBQ, either. I don't know what would be wrong with the BBQ, but the cops here are sometimes quite annoying (Five cop cars came to the scene when my friend put a stick on a sidewalk and a skateboarder tripped over it):o;):evilcry::cryriver:

I can probably bring along some of the people I play hockey with if we go to Fords Park. If you want I can also bring a rangers fan if you guys want someone to murder ;):kill:

You can get to Fords Park by way of the parkway or rt. 9. I'll get more detailed directions if we decide to play there.
