NJDevs4978
Well Derek's back in front...but the real news right now is DM's surge from the cellar to third place. Wow, the comeback kid just keeps going. Overall, the admins are pretty well represented in the top five with me, DM and RD...heh.
DevilMinder
My goalies have become very consistent and that has accounted for a good part of my points. The scoring on my teams is also very even and allows me to get 3-4 goals a night. But yea, I noticed a lot of admins in the top 5 hehe. Last to first baby! (yea right heh)
NJDevs4978
Well, with Hasek out now so much for the goalie advantage I thought Derek would have on the rest of us down the stretch. But it's not like Derek's team has suffered all that much without him the last few months.
devilsrule33
Damn I lost Blake. My team is finished. Edited February 11, 2004 by devilsrule33
DevilMinder
I am going to go over on my Centers games played. I need defensemen games really bad, anyone have any offers?
Weekes Head
Why don't you pick up Weinrich, DM? He should get some playing time seeing as St. Louis is hurting (defensively) right now anyways, might be worth it if you have some spare baggage to dump... NJDevs4978
Well how about that, Bonk goes down and Bell in his first game for me gets a goal tonight Of course it doesn't matter at this point if Marty and the Devils are going to continue to stink up the joint I've gotten great offensive numbers over the last couple of weeks and am falling further behind cause the goaltending's gone south. Weekes Head
Thank the Hockey Gods for Czerkawski tonight: M. Czerkawski 13:46 1 2 +4 3 2 ...that +4 is insane! Three points doesn't hurt, either
LetsGoDevils
All my goalies are healthy now! And with Cujo's hurt foot, Legace is good for a few starts, too.
NJDevs4978
Damn, Derek's losing his roster left and right, first Hasek, then Souray now Williams.
Weekes Head
Tough blows, maybe this thing can be won by someone other than Derek or Hasan. IF ONLY I COULD GET A 100% HEALTHY ROSTER FOR ONE DAY MAYBE I'D HAVE A SHOT!! Rahhh! I know how it feels Derek, I've had my fair share of devastating injuries as well (Kariya twice, Langenbrunner, now York(my best player this season)), and had a lockout player too. Then again, I had the dud known as Giggy, so no one can really top that....
NJDevs4978
Then again, I had the dud known as Giggy, so no one can really top that.... Well I come pretty close with Modano The funny thing is I'm in second still pretty solidly and I've had so many dissapointing players this year. Modano, O'Neill, Hamrlik (scoringwise anyway). Satan doesn't really count cause I've only had him for a couple weeks, but still it would be nice if either he or O'Neill (provided it's after tomorrow) and Hamrlik picked it up post-All-Star break. I've had a couple of big injuries too (Palffy, Hatcher) but I can't exactly complain, considering I didn't lose almost 20% of my roster in 3 days. DevilMinder
I was dangling Roenick as trade bait and had a trade proposed and that night he breaks his damn jaw argh! I lost Parrish earlier in the season as well, so I am not immune from the injury bug either.
Weekes Head
Sorry Has, but I think Giggy edges Modano in the flop-of-the-season category!
Derek21
I'll nominate Hasek as flop of the year. Yeah, he wasn't bad when he played but cmon. The guy hardly played w/o getting hurt. He cost me bigtime in my money league. Not so much this one. Good thing I drafted Aebischer!
Weekes Head
I'll nominate Hasek as flop of the year. Yeah, he wasn't bad when he played but cmon. The guy hardly played w/o getting hurt. He cost me bigtime in my money league. Not so much this one. Good thing I drafted Aebischer! No way, Hasek wasn't ALL that bad, and though he didn't play, he didn't hurt to have on the team -- I mean he didn't make you LOSE points. Giggy sucked night in and night out. He HAS to be the flop of the year!
NJDevs4978
Unbleepingbelievable, Buffalo gets 14 goals in two games and all I get from Satan are 3 lousy assists (which I have enough of) and an even plus-minus. Even the frigging GOALIE for Buffalo got a goal
Swede
Even the frigging GOALIE for Buffalo got a goal Hmm... do I get any points for that?!? My team is getting better... heck, even Giggy has been a good pickup
Weekes Head
D'oh! I screwed up today! Benched Langenbrunner for the first time, and what happens? Gets a PP goal and a PP assist, errrgh!
DevilMinder
It cost you as well. You were ahead of me again into third but ended up the night back in fourth.
dallasdevil15
I have done really bad on all my teams the last two days because when I updated my teams for the day I have done so after the Devils games had started so I haven't had a devils player in my line up for a while lol and I have been without a goalie. Devils games should start later lol!
devilsrule33
Has looked like Satan made up for it with an amazing game today. Edited February 24, 2004 by devilsrule33
NJDevs4978
Yup sure did I need those goals too. The plus three doesn't hurt either.
Swede
Giggy sucked night in and night out. He HAS to be the flop of the year! RD, I just wanted to mention one thing... In his last five games, Giguere has posted a 4-1 record, a 1.61 GAA and .943 save percentage. Just to let you know
NJDevs4978
Which is why I never let waste Modano (who's STILL stinking, but fortunately I've only played him once in two months anyway) go As ticked off as I was when he stunk for me I would have been twice as ticked if he turned around and did great for someone else. Although I may have to dump him if per chance one of my Boston centers get hurt and he's still not playing any better cause my insurance policy (Bonk) is pretty much gone.
