And he’ll be fired by December if the Pens get off to a lousy start. I honestly wish they would just let him go, hire Keefe, and then we hire Sullivan. But it doesn’t appear that’s gonna happen. Looking like Keefe is our guy. And again, Keefe is not a bad option, I’m not against hiring him. I just like Berube and Sullivan more because they have Cup rings.

In fact, many had the club pegged as a Stanley Cup contender entering 2023-24 before goaltending and injury woes torpedoed its season. The team's arena, the Prudential Center, is relatively new, and the ownership group, led by Josh Harris and David Blitzer, is both wealthy and passionate about sports.
