'7'
Jets defense is getting picked apart by Brady here. Hopefully they hold them to a FG but I doubt it. I think they fatigued a bit But this has been an A++++ effort by them thus far. They haven't gotten much pressure on Brady lately but held them out of the endzone. MDPucks
The difference between this game being 21-3 and 9-3 is the absence of Welker which has been plaguing the Patriots offense going back into the preseason when he missed a few games. The Pats offense hasn't been cohesive because of this lack of work plus other receivers (Galloway, Edleman, etc.) are forced into playing Welker's role. Edleman has had a few really nice plays but he's also had some brutal rookie mistakes that have killed drives in the red zone. Jets and "The Sanchize" look completely lost on offense. '7'
The difference in the game has been officiating that has given NE cupcake field position enabling them to make it 9-3, otherwise the game is 3-3. Leons knee was on the ground and Scott pulled up before just barely nudging the receiver. And Sanchez has looked bad but the O hasn't really had the ball. The Jets D has bent but not broken, but also hasn't forced NE into too many quick 3 and outs. Edited September 20, 2009 by '7'

NJDevs4978
Edleman has had a few really nice plays but he's also had some brutal rookie mistakes that have killed drives in the red zone. How was it Edleman's 'rookie' mistake when Brady misfired as he was wide open on the goal line? The difference in the game has been officiating that has given NE cupcake field position enabling them to make it 9-3, otherwise the game is 3-3. Leons knee was on the ground and Scott pulled up before just barely nudging the receiver. This, although the Patriots have been the better team they've also (as usual) had help from the league which loves to kiss Brady's fanny. '7'
Why no penalty on the Pat offensive lineman who jumped into the play very late and injured Donald Strickland
CRASHER
Not to break up the Jets love and huggie-bear fest in here But seeing the Saints get 3 TDs in 4:04 and gunning for another... WOW this team looks GOOD

NJDevs4978
The best Jet defense since the Sack Exchange after only two games of the Rex/Bart Scott era? It sure looks like it. Even without a sack they sure made Brady feel their presence. It was terrific to see no prevent defense, hell even no prevent offense though Sanchez worried me on that last play, I thought he might get stripped from behind with all the running around he was doing. But hey he did the job again in the second half.
'7'
Ryan backs up his talk...not here to kiss his rings, we're going to kick their asses WE KICKED THEIR ASSES If it wasn't for 2 lucky break calls by the refs (leon non fumble, scott's "kick" ) New England would've scored 3 points all game. We blitzed the hell out of them, Brady looked like a frightened child throwing up pathetic lobs all over the field and whining about roughing the passer penalties) We came out in the 2nd half and SMOKED THEM. I love it...Belicheat couldn't even make eye contact with Ryan or Sanchez. And all the Patruiot frontrunners scurry "They're no good anymore! Where's my Testaverde jersey from 98? Are the Cowboys still popular?" Edited September 20, 2009 by '7'
MDPucks
So the Jets have won the Super Bowl in Week 2!!! When's the parade through the parking lot? The Patriots offense has been out-of-sync since Week 2 of the preseason when Welker hurt his knee. Ever since then Brady has never been on the same page with Galloway (IMO: a square peg in a round hole) and Edleman (how many times Moss had to correct his allignment?). The Pats offense had their best production in the up-tempo and when they ran the ball with Fred Taylor (why they haven't cut Maroney's lazy ass by now?) who was pounding the Jets defense for 5 yards/run. And even with that if the Patriots don't shoot themselves in the foot its 21-3 at halftime. The Pats defense played okay but Thomas dropped a huge pic and in the 4th quarter the Jets started exploiting Mayo's absence up the middle. MDPucks
Wow what a STUPID call to end the San Diego game... way to go Norv! With as few "tough games" San Diego plays in that terrible division they can't afford to give away games like this at home if they expect to gain home field advantage. Its bitten them the last 2 seasons being forced into cold weather in January. 3rd and 4th down were just typical moronic Norv playcalls. Who are you fooling lining-up in a run formation when you haven't run the ball all day?

Who are you fooling lining-up in a run formation when you haven't run the ball all day? with Norv they tend to win playoff games on the road and when they actually got home field (with Schottenheimer) they blew the game to New England. Maybe they're just content with winning the division, which unless Denver is somehow, someway for real, they'll win easily. I'm not saying it's what they should do, but maybe that's what they're thinking and they don't have that sense of urgency

I'm not saying it's what they should do, but maybe that's what they're thinking and they don't have that sense of urgency I'd say that's been San Diego's problem for the last 5 years considering most football fans feel they have the best team on paper (combined with a terrible division). Yeah they've won a couple of playoff games but that was against Indy who they match-up great with and plays in a dome. But when it comes to playing against football teams that combine high football IQ with talent and physicallity (eg. Pittsburgh, New England) they always crap the bed. Beezer34
"...and it's a great deal if you're a Jets fan. The last team to beat a Tom Brady lead Patriots team during the regular season, was the Miami Dolphins in December of 2006." -Chris Collinsworth. Tom Brady's last reg'season lose... December 2006. NJDevs4978
Screw Dallas, I needed Romo and Roy Williams to get more points than Eli and Witten in one league and sure doesn't look like that's happening now
