All I know is that this league, our division in particular is a jungle. It's so easy to get frustrated with everything. From the coaching decisions, to the roster management, there's plenty of fuel for the fire. Our team needs us more than ever in this battle. Get behind them, guys.

More and more people are begging for it. Me, I'm not quite there yet. He's done a lot with a team that can't score goals. He was not as sentimental with Marty as a lot of people expected. There's the player development issue, but I think it's a little overblown myself. He played Henrique consistently as a rookie, and Larsson as well until he got hurt. And when Larsson came back he was dreadful for certain stretches. If you think the young guys not getting playing time is a huge issue, you have to blame Lou. Fact is, DeBoer is there to put the best lineup on the ice on a particular night. And for all you Gionta haters, he's simply been better than Josefson and Loktionov. And even if not, it's not the difference between winning and losing games. And neither of those guys would have been spectacular but for DeBoer ruining their confidence. It's Lou that put Larsson in the minors, and keeps Harrold on the roster, and decided to give Salvador the captaincy and a three year deal. It's Lou that decides to give Zidlicky another year. You can hardly blame DeBoer for not scratching Salvador or Zidlicky or whoever you don't like so Larsson can play regularly. I know feisty posted that quote on his twitter account from Kulikov about DeBoer scaring rookies. Well, the Panthers still kind of stink, and Kulikov is part of that stinkiness. So maybe he wasn't that great to start with. It happens, although than you get to the chicken and the egg problem. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I posted in the last GDT that it won't be long before everyone gets on Lou Lams case this thread is missed named this is the start of the negative Lou Lams thread. Have at it Devils fans. Lou Lams is a control freak that has his hands on everything 100% he allowed the goalie contrivesary he gave DeBoer the players, he controls who go to the AHL and who comes back and he writes the contracts, and selects the Captain. Devils fans you're moving in the right direction .

All I'll say is this Plenty of Devils coaches have done better and still gotten canned. It is odd how Lou has stuck with Deboer when Robinson and Julien got fired for reasons most of us still don't understand. He did have the Cup run...but he's also likely going to miss the playoff consecutive years

Here's my thing about DeBoer- I know I bitch about him a lot. But I actually do think he's a good hockey coach. The players have not quit on him. They play for him. I'm not completely convinced he should be fired YET, although my frustration gets the best of me after games like last night. Its his lineup decisions that are giving me grey hairs. I just don't know what he sees with some of his decisions on who to play and how much ice time they should get (Gionta and Sal come immediately to mind). And I like Gionta too, I don't mean to rip on him as much as I do- but he's nothing more than a fourth line plug, and Pete thinks he's his brother sometimes. Drives me insane. That's my conflict on Pete- good coach and I like him personally, but sh!tty with young players, and makes bone-headed line-up decisions.

Pete DeBoer teams blowing late leads...seen this before. Unacceptable result, the Devils needed the 2 points, especially with the OOT scores not going their way. I've calmed down over the years and try not to get worked up about regular season results but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't starting to get down about this team making the playoffs. Not giving up but starting to lose confidence in this group. I can't get on Schneider for this one. He made a mistake and never seemed to get set for the 1st goal against. Luckily, Hutton gifted Elias a goal after that. Can't blame Schneider for a 5v6 goal and the OT goal where Zidlicky kicked the puck for the perfect pass to Weber. I thought Loktionov had a nice return in his limited action. Ryder is absolutely maddening. He has one job and is horribly inconsistent at it. Now 10 games without a goal. Just 2 assists over that time.

I don't worry about what everyone else is doing yet. Devils gotta take care of their own business. I've still got 92 points as the magic total to get in.

Little better version of my story. I was going to college in Pittsburgh in 2007, and with my college ID, a ticket was only $20...but it was standing room only. It was also 'crosby bobble head night'. So after the first period, I decide I was sick of standing and I somehow bartered my bobble head to an usherfor a seat. He put me center ice, ten rows up in the season ticket holder section. Suffice to say people were not happy. The stadium kept putting devil fan pics on the jumbotron thing saying 'boo this man until he takes off his jersey' suffice to say I did not, and we were already leading 4-0 so the pens fans were already super pissy. Anyways after the second period, I was invited to a box with 4 other devils fans. The person who invited us was none other than Kevin Smith, who, despite me being underage provided me with several gin and tonics. Devils won and I had a number of Pitt fans follow me home on the T threatening to kill me blah blah blah. Best first devils game ever.
