  1. 6-5 Devils, game ends in a draw and Devils win it in a shootout.
  2. Is it broadcast on the 'Net at least?! Damnit all lines are busy at Cablevision Morris!
  3. UGH I'm glad i'm not the only one. WTF is this Black and white movie crap?!?!!?
  4. I wish hockey had all the great songs soccer clubs have. I'll post 2 of my faves: Over and Over O-ver and O-ver, we will follow you, O-ver and O-ver, we will see you through, We are Celtic supporters, faithful through and through, and over and over, we will follow you. If you go to Germany, you will see us there, France or Spain its all the same, We'll go any where, We'll be there to cheer you, as you travel round, you can take us anywhere, we won't let you down. Chorus If you go to Lisbon, we'll go once again, In Zaire you'll find us there calling out your name, when you need supporting, you will always know, we'll be right there with you, every where you go. Chorus You'll Never Walk Alone When you walk through a storm, Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark, At the end of a storm, there's a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone...
  5. The first time I heard Doc, I thought "damn, this guy sounds like those radio announcers from the 1920's." I still do. Imagine him saying "... and this is the city of the futuuuuuure!"
  6. Why concentrate so much on the North American market when it resists so much? There's a great interest in hockey in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. The NHL has to figure a way to penetrate this market interest. There's a precedent. Look at football teams in Europe and the Asian market. Manchester United, Real Madrid, etc have all done tours that direction.
  7. That Hfboards Habs board is funny. Loads of breakaways and end to end action and they keep accusing the game of being boring and "hate to be a Devils fan." Man, what exactly do they want? I guess back in the good old days, the defensemen werent allowed to check and had they laces tied together
  8. The sponsor with the most money who wants to of course. But something that inspires fear into our opponents. Something like the "Vaginsil Arena"
  9. Yeesh. Is it just me or is marty looking especially average these last few games?

    Miracle

The use of TV and newspapers to show the current events around the tournement was a great touch. It added alot of perspective to what was happening at the time. I was still waddling around being 5 years old at the time and really don't remember any of it

    Miracle

Just came back from seeing it. Quick review: All in all, exactly what I expected. I always liked Kurt Russell and he really caried the movie on his shoulders. Great acting and can really convince you he's Herbie from his plaid pants to his body language. The team actors were solid, occasionally lapsing a bit but pretty convincing. Yea, there was tons and tons of "Rah-Rah USA USA!" but that was expected. All in all, an enjoyable movie. There were lots of younger folks there in the theater and they cheered after every goal. It made it seem like a real hockey game was going on. It was great ambience. Made it seem like watching an abridged real game!
  12. Not entirely relevant here but I saw this article and thought its a neat reading putting Madden and Morrison in perspective during their college years. Hobey Baker Finalists
  13. Nope, Larionov was a youngin then. He could of been on it but was left out by the coach. I think it was the Bergen Record that quoted him joking something to the effect "good thing too so people won't ask me about it!"
  14. This is great.. take a guess.. he plays "The Russian Captain." . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Times up! Anyone else going to see this??
  15. I'd say Patrik Sundstrom would have to be up there.
  16. Anyone see this interesting quote on ESPN?

    NHL 2004

NHL 2004 player here too. I was a bit disappointed though that it wasn't more realistic. I've been playing it regularly since NHL 98. Me, I took Fleury and Gaborik off waivers and traded for Comrie early on. I can kick butt on "Difficult" with these guys
  18. I was lucky enough to be in Section 228 for this game. And what a game it was! We were the section that started most of the chants including 3 "Rangers suck" chant. Its funny stuff.
  19. I agree there with enjoying that type of offensive game. But I also get pleasure from watching the evil, machine-like Devs come to dismantle a team defensively. Watching big bad highly paid stars bang their sticks in fustration due to a perfectly execacuted 1-2-2 is beautiful. Now if only we were allowed to patent it so noone else could use it
  20. Who else is as antsy as I am? Comon! Another Cup run!
  21. Oh my, the damage in the photos is incredible. I hope they both get better soon. On a side, did you notice the neurosurgeon in charge is CNN's medical correspondant? He's the same guy who did the reports from Iraq.
