i don't know much about this guy. is he related to wade? and is he a good fighter? i know he's big but he's only listed as 215, not laraque nor orr big but big nonetheless. edit: i thought orr was bigger but he's only listed at 220. i wonder if he was picked up because maybe the devs think janssen may be out longer and without him we don't have that true enforcer.

i thought the devs were farther under the cap but that article says we're less than 2 mil under(48.7/50.3). i wouldn't mind markov but only for a 1 year deal at a reasonable price, like the 1.4 VV got. i don't think i need to see oduya again.

the first few seasons of grounded for life were excellent. uncle eddie was hilarious.

a friend and i were talking devils hockey and he brought this up to me. he told me that, barring calgary giving him a contract this season, dion would be an RFA next season. now this is a devils team that's built on defense and having him as a cornerstone would be great. my question is do you think lou would ever make him an offer considering that's not lou's way. my friend thinks he would be dumb not to but i just don't see lou doing that. i'm not necessarily for that either, but if ever there was a player who would make you want to break that rule, it would be him. i was wondering if anyone else felt that would be ok to do or if you think giving up all those draft picks for him would be dumb, considering he would have to get a max type of offer.

although i can't find it now, there was a vid on youtube of elisha leaving a club in LA with paris arm in arm, then avery coming out about a minute later looking for her. he looked dumbfounded when a bouncer told him paris and elisha left together and didn't tell him. he got left at the club. that made me happy.

for the first time in 8 years, i did not renew my subscription to the hockey news(though i did get the yearbook so i think that's my final issue). besides the fact that i can get all the info i need online, i felt recently that they have been taking a lot of cheap shots at lou and the devils. maybe i'm just being too sensitive about it, but it just seemed to me that week after week they couldn't resist giving lou or the devs a hard time. i won't miss getting this rag.

i'm glad martin is signed and i think it was a fair deal. does anyone know where the devils stand now as far as the cap goes?

i couldn't find any info on the Directv website, but where is FSNY-HD offered? i get the HD package for Directv but haven't been able to find it.
