  1. the sky rink at chelsea piers? i'm *just* learning how to skate/stick handle this summer there but its at 23rd and 12th so maybe there's another rink i need to check out! chelsea piers still does pickup games though the hours aren't as late as yours used to be! -emily
  2. except for Scott Gomez. It turns him into a scoring machine. -emily
  3. 17) Chanting "Red Wings Suck" during games against the Dallas Stars is another fine way to demonstrate your sophistication to the rest of the country. that one hits a little close to home. -emily (who loves the 'rangers suck' chant no matter who we're playing)
  4. agreed. once they knew they couldn't have any more players off the ice they got dirty. and that hit from behind was like a bad bertuzzi flashback. -emily
  5. i can't believe i'm watching this game and HOPING the leafs win. i want Domi to do his Domi best on the Cryers and i hope Belfour's back feels ok. goddamn that really just came out of my fingers. .... -emily
  6. ! no rugrats here- my cat has to remind me to feed her! all parents are saints with the patience of angels. I would make a poor mom. -emily
  7. Didn't make it this morning due to work insanity. Of course now its all calmed down a bit and we have a lull in workflow but thats the way it goes I guess. -emily (and i was all ready to hump his leg too)

it wouldn't hurt to try... i volunteer! -emily
  9. yes mirrored sunglasses are a must! ;> seriously though, i want to ask him about the injury and how it affected the rest of his season and what will he do if theres a lockout. i thought your question about his line pairings is good too. I'm trying to come up with things other than the stevens question, the marty question and the burns question. -emily my bf tells me i can't hump his leg! (he takes the fun out of everything
  10. i'm sure there are a number of people who can answer that one for you without his help!
  11. You think the tryptophan was what provoked his unstellar performance in the playoffs?
  12. he's going to be at the NHL offices in NYC with his daughter for the bring your daughters to work day (aww) tomorrow and i scored a press pass to take photos. i think there's question/answer too. i've got a few things to pester hm about but i'm going to go with a big list and try to get as much as i can. I hope my boss lets me out for a few hours! Ideas?
  13. wait...you mean its not??? -emily
  14. here here. in the end no matter whos to "blame" the result is the same. sh!t happens, and wasn't our year. the devils played well, and as much as it sucks to think about, the philthies had a decent team this year with a streaky goalie who happened to be on a good streak in the first round. seeing him do his best sieve impression in round 2 or 3 will just confirm his streaky un-abilities. right now, i just hope there's a season next year to look forward to and that everyone comes back from a longer offseason healthy and ready to reclaim what's ours. -emily
  15. If our boys get eliminated, as long as the flyers/leafs also lose i will be as ok with the outcome as i can be with the Devils not taking home the cup again. part of me would like to see the isles take it if we get eliminated b/c they're the closest (only?) other kinda local team i DONT hate. i feel like they're a sibling: sure you fight and they suck when its all even, but when they are being picked on i'll be there to stand up for 'em. -emily
  16. Hello! i wanted to bring a sign with me to put over Igor's head if he was in the lineup but luckily i didnt have to!
  17. i love madden's tenacity though. i would love to see him as a devil for years to come. I think he clicks with the team. freeze is great when he's on a streak, but invisible when he's not. i dont love him the way i love some of the other guys out there (and yes it ultimately comes down to attitude and spirit to me. madden, gio, elias, neids- they've all got it in aces. freeze, not so much)

  19. maybe marty will finally change his gear after this season is over. lucky pads non-withstanding, i don't think they do much by way of protection anymore. watching the game made me sad and angry, mostly b/c as they walked off the ice, (i was in 107 behind the bench) most of the boys looked defeated and dejected. a shutout is a bad, but the series isnt over yet. it won't be easy, but its not over til its over. -emily
  20. esche is one of the few people in the world who have seen gio from that angle.
  21. I know the boys can pull it out! They are just trying to make us all appreciate the wins more(or something) They make me worry, only to come out ahead in the end and somehow in the process i just love 'em more. I have tickets for the game on Wednesday and i can't wait! -emily (still haven't gotten around to making the shecksiee-hot-guy avatar yet but one of these days, really!)
  22. i can't believe i have to work tonight!! come on devs, do me proud!
  23. i totally agree with the ideas that Stevens should be with the team, in uniform or otherwise. I think it would be huge for him to show up at the game, even if he wasn't in the locker room, his presence, even off the ice, might spark the rest of the guys to step it up. As much as i don't WANT to like JR, i couldnt help but admire the way he showed up to support his team when he was injured. I think if Stevens did something similiar it would be enormous.
  24. is it just me or does cap'n kangaroo's game face say "Constipated"
