I'll most likely be driving as well, and I don't care if I have to park in the middle of Raymond Blvd. somewhere, I'll be there. I'll tell ya, I can't wait for the new arena. I think this is going to be great for the Devils and great for Newark.
Right on RD. And hopefully that team store will offer a good jersey selection, because it seems the only jerseys you can buy at the games are Stevens or Brodeur jerseys, of which I have many. When I was in Toronto, I took a tour of the ACC- their team store had jerseys of every freakin' player on the roster. They had Aki Berg jerseys for God's sake.
That better be what he meant. Because- as I mentioned- just remember who Clement works for. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility with the morons at ESPN.
That's not the way Clement made it sound. The way he was describing it, it sounded as if you can't touch an opposing player in the neutral zone AT ALL. And knowing what a moron Clement is, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that's exactly what he meant. Remember who he works for and who's agenda he's trying to push.
It would be a coup for them if they could hire Burke. And change the name of course. The Ducks might actually be a respectable franchise if those two things happened.
Some of these people have truly lost their minds. NO DEFENSIVE TOUCHING AT ALL in the neutral zone? Meaning you can't hit someone if they have the puck? You can't try and shoulder them off the puck without grabbing their stick or jersey? Are you fvcking kidding me? Icing on penalty killls? So not only must you kill the penalty, but you know must cross the red line to clear the zone? WHAT??!! And don't even get me started about bigger nets, the biggest abomination of all. I swear- and these are hockey people too- these fools have lost it. This lockout is melting brains all across the league. They're going to turn the game I love into basketball.
Personally, I think making the nets bigger is an abomination. I'm a purist, and IMO, it messes with the record books. Smaller goalie equipment? Absoultely. Bigger nets? No fvcking way.
All 3 Devils Cups obviously, one of them I was lucky enough to see in person ('03). The other unreal sports moment I experienced in person was the Mike Piazza HR against Atlanta in the first baseball game in NY after 9/11. The Mets were making a miracle run in the division too, so it made the HR that much more meaningful.
Sheeps: It just irks me when someone is a fan of a half-dozen teams. I guess I'm closer to Petey than I thought. "By definition a fan has one team and ALL the other teams can go to hell" or something close to that.
Exactly.
Hold on a minute: OUR first line? How many favorite teams do you have? You have Bruins in your title, a picture of Esche as your sig, and I've seen you refer to Florida as "us" before too. I guess you don't come from the old school where you root for one team and one team only.
Yeah, a lot of people haven't and it's too bad. Seriously, this guy is one of the funniest people who's ever lived and had he lived on, he would've eventually achieved a high level of fame. I'm surprised he haden't already- the guy is THAT funny.
