    Was he really mistreated though? He was given the opportunity several times on a fast dynamic team in the best league in the world and he choked hard. Some guys just can't cut it.

    March 3 is a stupid late time for a deadline. Should really move it up a month to give new players a chance to adjust to new teams. Gary just wants it late to give losers like Ottawa false hope.

    I went to HF boards just to see some Devils commentary. It was civil, just not as insightful as here. Also site navigation was a pain.

    Was surprised Fitz didn't grab his son off waivers. That must be really hard to put business first over your own son. I mean, he could have at least played in Utica for us. I guess Florida had first pick over us so maybe he would have taken him.

    Ya but that's unprecedented. There have been guys doing ugly stuff off ice before and never punished that harshly. Pro athletes are famous for second, third even fourth chances.

    So what is worst case punishment for something like this? Half an NHL season? I doubt there will be any jail time, most likely financial settlement and community service.

    In Montreal it was terrible regular season play, to the point that they sat him during their cup run. He just looked completely done there and that's why I hated the signing. But I'm quite happy to be wrong on him if he keeps this up.

    Ya I'm not even sure if it's worth it to trade Severson at this point, just from a locker room distraction stand point. If we are leading the division at that point I'm ok if he walks in the summer.
