justdo3043
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=568351&navid=mod-rr-headlines thats an impressive deal
ZeroGravityFat
damn, that would have been better than moose for that number.
iamtheprodigy
damn, that would have been better than moose for that number. Yeah but that's irrelevant because he wouldn't have signed the same deal to be Marty's back-up. He wants to be a starter on a good team and this was the best deal he could get with those requirements.
NJDevs4978
lol the Caps not only rob Colorado blind for Varlamov but they get an upgrade in goal for cheap money.
USAkid90
Caps pulled a steal here. Trading Varalmov for a 1st n 2nd in a deep draft but signing vokoun that cheap. They finally have a #1 goalie they can rely on
Guest BelieveinBrodeur
Neurvith or who ever they used in the playoffs might be a better starter IMO but Vokoun is a starter no matter what so he'll most apt to get
LucifersDog
Good move by the Caps

Especially in any sort of pressure situation
overtime98
I'd take Vokoun for 1.5 as our backup rather than Hedberg.
iamtheprodigy
I'd take Vokoun for 1.5 as our backup rather than Hedberg. Again, this would have never happened. He took a smaller contract to play as a starter for a contending team. He would not have taken a similar contract to be a back-up.

Especially in any sort of pressure situation Your right Vokoun is out standing. I think Neurvith or whatever his name is() a great goalie with potential to be a great starter. He did great in the Playoffs see nothing but the best for him in the future.
Glane
I wish he would have stayed in Florida, I feel like they need him more than Washington does, but he made his choice. I still like him, regardless of where he is.
