New York Islanders defenceman Kim Johnsson was awarded $2.8 million for the upcoming season by an arbitrator, more than twice as much as he earned last season.

Johnsson contributed 13 goals and 29 assists with the Flyers last year and finished with a +16 rating while earning $1.25 million. He also notched two goals and six assists in 15 playoff games.

In 395 career NHL games with Philadelphia and the New York Rangers Johnsson has compiled 45 goals and 125 assists.

Compensation: 2004/05 $2,800,000.00

i dont think that them spelling a name wrong should suprise anyone

... but one would hope they could place him on the right team (or at least the same team throughout the article)

spell it wrong, put a guy on a different team, its ESPN they dont care

Err... it was TSN. Guess the editors are off on summer vacation? :huh:

Usually TSN will know the guys middle name, mother's maiden name and their dogs name.
