Devils731
Which core fans agree with you on this new jersey 7? Didn't most hockey fans like a lot of the changes this season? Which did you like? I'm a bad fan who has attended basically every game since I was 7 in '87? Seems like you just can't deal with change. You want to take a snapshot in time and claim nothing should ever change when it has never stopped changing, and that is the fact. Edit: 7, people can see you're irrational because you can't post without going way over the top and discussing. When someone can't make points they just start to get more aggressive and you're being an example of that. Nobody will buy them (though the NHL will desperately try and massage the numbers just like they do with attendance figures) if it ain't broke, don't fix is. Change when it's necessary, sure. But change for the sake of change is always wrong. gary bettman called these "jerseys" a natural evolution in the game...do you see how absurd that statement is? When the majority of NHL players are going to baggier jersey's the league attempts to pass what appears to be some kind of shiny silk or spandex material off as a jersey. How exactly are they going to move this merchandise, it looks terrible being worn on anybody. Edited September 4, 2007 by '7'
Devils731
Look at the thread! Everyone but you said they liked the jersey and you're claiming they didn't! Who isn't being reasonable? Edit: It isn't an absurd statement, just like the NHL went from Cotton to Nylon this is the next update in material...just like has happened in the past. Compare the real Habs jersey to RBK's thing, you'll see plenty of differences. It had a respectable neckline, the striping on the bottom wasn't forced, it didn't have weird fabric, it didn't have a feminine cut to it. jkrdevil
Did baseball fans bitch this much when they moved from those flannel uniforms to the double knit in the late 60's early 70's. That move was pretty similar to the NHL's current uniform switch (except baseball was over a period of a few years). Many teams then ditched their traditional designs for what was then deemed modern designs (powder blue, pullovers, and belt less pants). On the other hand some team kept their designs the same with minimal changes (The Yankees for example who made a few changes to their road design). This is no different. All that is changing with the Habs design is a new collar (something that has changed a few times over the years on their uniforms) and the material is changing to a more performance based material (think the newer football uniforms that have come out in recent years also think over the products put out by Under Armour and such). So yes the uniforms are evolving like baseball going from flannel to double knit in the 60's 70's hell like at the same time Hockey going from wool sweaters to the now old material. RowdyFan42
You can't go back 90 years and use examples from when hockey was in it's infancy, the game has been settled and perfected for some time now. Not according to you. In the world of ^7^, hockey stopped being perfect when the '80s ended and scoring started going down. Or has your hatred of Bettman blinded you so much that you can't even get your stories straight anymore?

Chimaira_Devil_#9
You can see they tried to keep it exactly the same, but the idiotic RBK template ruins another uniform OK '7' i though this would be the only jersey you actually would like. Saying that it ruined the jersey is obsured. New: Old: THEY ARE THE SAME. No change has been made. Infact the new ones look better.
