Pushing the Cap hit to $48,868,00 That leaves Lou with $6,132,000 to sigh other free agents The only player signed throught next year, that I would try to move is Pandalfo. Lou could send him to Lowell or trade him to a team that he okays, for a bag a pucks, i could care less. Let the kids grow, enough with these underachieving UFA's. I want to see Bergfors get his shot at top 6 minutes. Corrente needs to make the team. Give Halischuk some 3rd or 4th line minutes. Why were we so strong in our dynasty years? Young homegrown players. Parise - Zajac - Langs Rolston - Elias - Bergfors Clarkson - Zubrus - Halischuk Shanny - Pelley - PL3/Zharkov/Vasyunov/Rupp Martin - Corrente Oduya - White Salvador - Mottau/Greene ------ long shot: Eckford There is a chance Lou goes out and signs Robert Lang very cheap (2M) for a year or 2 for the 2nd line center. Lang is big and will create space for Elias and Rolston to just shoot. nyrsuck26 Posted May 26, 2009 Share Posted May 26, 2009 This may be unrealistic in terms of salary (I'm not quite familiar wit the specifics of the money situation) but this would be in my opinion would be the best possible outcome: Resign Zajac, Gionta, Shannahan, PL3, Oduya, Greene, Weekes Trade waive or do something else to get rid of Pandolfo Sign Saku Koivu Parise-Zajac-Langenbrunner Elias-Koivu-Gionta Rolston-Zubrus-Shannahan Bergfors-Vrana/Pelley-Clarkson extra:PL3, Vrana/Pelley Martin-Corrente Salvador-Oduya White-Greene extra:Mottau Brodeur Weekes Four skilled offensive-tendency forward lines, and a defense that is somewhat more able to move the puck. Parise - Zajac - Elias Clarkson - Madden - Langs Berfors - Zubrus - Rolston Halischuk - Pelley - Shanny (or Rupp if Shanny leaves) Remember that they're gonna pay someone about as much as Weekes as a backup.
