MantaRay
Also, why the hell would Chicago go after Kaberle? They have a good group of defensemen and they are way over the cap. Ecklund needs to stop picking players and teams out of a hat. Answer is: your right on both counts. Chicago probably wouldn't even consider Kaberle. MadDog2020
toronto's the one team that can stomach it. maybe campbell + sharp, sharp's contract is really good and gives toronto a decent 1st line center.how about this: brian campbell (7.1) + brent sopel (2.33) + patrick sharp (3.9) + 1st = 13.3 for tomas kaberle (4.25) + mike van ryn (2.5, UFA in 2010) + jeff finger (3.5) + matt stajan (1.9, UFA in 2010) = 12.4 this year, 7.75 next year the hawks save 6 million for next season. Interesting... the question is, does Burke WANT Campbell's deal on his books?

Devils731
The player so nice we drafted him twice? Only drafted once, I believe. The Devils drafted Rupp after he re-entered the draft after the Isles didn't sign him.
Triumph
Interesting... the question is, does Burke WANT Campbell's deal on his books? likely not, but he doesn't want jeff finger's contract on his books either. so he gets relief from a bad contract of his own. he nabs a top center in sharp, something which isn't on the market next year really. he gets rid of two expiring contracts which have moderate to little value for the leafs. also the devils drafted pierre dagenais twice. Chorske17
Oh, ok. My fault, wrong bust. For all we have made light of the Devils have made some great drafts over the years. I have to think that there was ever ONLY one true loser they drafted... Afterall everyone who is drafted is probably a better player than I am or ever was. Just one real loser named Mike Jefferson (or Danton if you will). That douchebag was a big mistake glad he left the organization and caused the stir he did in ST. Louis and not in New Jersey.
