Par9
Was watching the video and someone on the comments said 6 months. If so the Canes are screwed.
Triumph
Wonder how long before they ask the Islanders about Biron or Roloson. pretty foolish to do this if you ask me, the 'canes are sunk - they have no need for biron. they may as well sign manny fernandez or kevin weekes or some one like that who can just fill in. JesterDevil
So is Weekes officially retired? If not, I have a feeling he might be getting a call.
Prucenterrules
That cut looked pretty bad. I wouldn't be surprized if he was out for awhile.

I hope they don't sign him though because I really like him as a commentator. Real smooth-talking guy who's knowledgeable about the players and has a good sense of humor. adavid
Maybe they'll get Gerber from the KHL since they were so intent on recreating the 2006 team this year.

DevilinLA
Looks like a Manny Legace will get a shot. Legace Signs Edited November 9, 2009 by DevilinLA
DevilNurn
Legace seems like a better choice than someone like Weekes would've been. Not sure it's going to help; it's pretty telling that Legace has only played in the AHL this year. But I guess we'll just see how it pans out there. iamtheprodigy
Well, Carolina loses 5-2 in Legace's debut. That's 13 in a row if I'm counting correctly.
Devil Fan
Well, Carolina loses 5-2 in Legace's debut. That's 13 in a row if I'm counting correctly. The good news would be their next game is on Friday the 13th against the Isles.

Yup and how the mighty from last season has fallen. GOOD! 13 losses in a row and counting. Just suprised that Maurice is still their coach. Francis will soon take over IMO. TheIceDog
What will likely happen is that they will probably continue to suck and maybe miss the playoffs. Perhaps they will even miss the playoffs multiple times. But you just know that they will eventually sneak back in and conveniently face the Devils and then piss in all of our corn flakes as they eliminate New Jersey once again (this time in a sweep). They'll then make it to at least the Conference Final. Rinse and repeat. Never happen. First off, the Devils have never been swept in the playoffs. Not once. Now the boys in red, black and white have swept other teams in the playoffs (the Red Wings, Rangers, Panthers), but there has never been a sweeping of the Devs so we can toss out that BS opinion. Triumph
haha, i like how this has turned into 'bump this thread when carolina loses a game' still got a point out of last night's game, but in last year's playoffs, 93 got you in - to get 93 points, carolina has to get 85 points in 64 games, which looks something like this - 40-19-5. let's just hope they start winning so they draft around 5th or 6th
Amberite
let's just hope they start winning so they draft around 5th or 6th Eh. This year's draft will be very weak. I don't think there will be that much of a difference between 1st and 5th.
Triumph
Eh. This year's draft will be very weak. I don't think there will be that much of a difference between 1st and 5th. taylor hall has 2 PPG in junior so far this year. don't really want carolina to end up with him, they'll probably be right back in the playoffs if they do nab him. TheIceDog
The Icelanders have turned it around (for them) and although they're not going anywhere they should not be at the very bottom. Looks like it may come down to Carolina, Toronto and Florida as the most pitiful as Anaheim will improve. The Canes have always been a streaky club so this could really be between FL, TOR and possibly the NYR who have lost what now, 8 out of 11? Don't want see any team in the Eastern Conference get Tyler Seguin nor Taylor Hall for that matter.
