Quinn01 Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 Its better that he takes his time rather then just slinging it around and having it turn into a 2-1 which happened earlier in the game when the puck was attempted to be slung into the zone and ended up hitting Parise in the skate and bouncing out. He has been working hard, making smart plays and showing what he has gotten the shot to show. Urbom < OMG anyday. I wouldnt mind him sticking around honestly. Although he isnt contributing in points, he is in energy. Big whoop, that was Clarkson's first real fight of the season (the other was just nonsense in a 7-2 game and he got ten minutes for that). The other two are also getting a bit more icetime than Clarkson against better players. It's not just his numbers, like I said his numbers are indiciative of his play. He's not doing what got him to the NHL - offensively he's playing a perimeter game and not going to the net and like I said he hadn't had a semi-useful fight in the first six games till tonight. Sure if it came down to cutting a player in the whole cap issue, I wouldnt mind seeing him walk. He isnt that important. But he does bring something no one else does to the team. When you say Clarkson should go to the net...he did not to long ago and got called for it. Honestly, I do feel that he only knows how to toe drag and do reach arounds. Within the last few seasons, he doesnt let anyone near him without them knowing hes there and hes not going to go lightly. A slash to the back of the leg is one thing but a goalie paddle...one that is being slung with a few curse words behind it.....high five to that. Back it off Gomer.
