10 loses means they are out of the playoffs?

I didn't think the Av's were going to make the playoffs before the injuries. I love Foote, but I would give the best defensive defensemen to Scotty easily. The Av's have not been a GREAT team since Bourque retired.

I have been pitching Modin since Almo was banished. He has a canon and a lot of speed. I don't think he would cost much either.

Tri- I didn't forget about Blake, I just think he is a one dimensional defensemen. I love him on the powerplay but he is a diaster in his own end. He won the Norris because he was in a major market and he scored PP points. Los Angeles improved immediately on defense after they got rid of him. Morris, has potential I don't think he has develped as well as his hype. Skoula hasn't done anything. He is a 5th D-man at best.

I think we needed more forwards in Albany with Rupp, Bicek and Bergie in NJ. We are pretty much are set on defense with Hale, Martin and Giroux for just two spots (Dano/Stevens) in a year or two we could afford to deal a D-man. Especially, since we still have a great yound stock piled D-men on the farm.

Even before this they weren't going to make the playoffs, so no big deal. The Av's are a team in disarray. Regardless of their purported talent, they live and die by a 37 year old goaltender on the wane. Lacrioux has wrecked this team. No coach, only 5 good forwards and only one great all around defensemen in Foote and semi-retired goalie. Look for plenty of off season activity in Denver.

Sunstrom is a defensive forward they need, but they could have gotten much more for Hackett.

The only players I would take would be Vasichek, Cole or Oneil.

Very good point, but it depends on what the Av's send back.

As soon as Leetch & Bure come back the chemistry will be thrown out the window and the Rag$ will come back to earth. They will become the team that sucked when Bure and Leetch were healthy.

Drury was dealt to Calgary before the season with Stephane Yelle for Derek Morris, Dean McAmmond and Jeff Shantz. The Flames are reportedly disappointed with Drury, who has only 2 goals in his last 19 games, and were looking to deal him in the upcoming offseason anyway. Colorado might be interested in bringing Drury back whose production might offset the loss of Joe Sakic for the next month. Will Lacroix admit he made a mistake?

What a foolish trade proposal. It would be great for the Canes though.
