There must be heavy negotiating going on. Will the Mets move to Metro? The Knicks? for sake of playoff hockey? Or will the Devils? The Isles? Gotta be decided by today. Stay tuned.

Obviously the Devils handled the Isles over the last 3 weeks very well. If the Isles win the last 2 (vs.Atl.& @ Carolina) & Bruins (Buf) lose, they (the Isles) will have more wins & finish 7th. Also as bad as the Isles played vs.Devils recently, they have been absolutely dreadful vs. the Senators. With the Mets on FSNY (Ch.11 on weekends) & MSG (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) the Knicks on MSG for a few more games; if the Devils & Isles have different opponents, the TV schedule would get crowded very fast. And that means Metro games. BTW, as far as our home games, the next 2 Nets home games are Sat.the 12th & Mon. the 14th; both at 7:30. (there's also a Yanni concert on thurs.the 10th). So Games 1 & 2 are probably Weds/Fri? (Weds. Mets are on MSG; Fri, Mets on FSNY & Knicks on MSG). Anyway, no matter what, either the Leafs or Flyers are 1 & out!!

Devils 1 Sabes 2 Meaningless game for Buffalo, I wouldn't be surprised if they win. That Dumont does give Devils fits.

Stan, like him or not, brings personality to the broadcast. The Matt & the Maven stints are the only reason to watch between periods. Yea Chico's a homer, but what team doesn't have homers? The only things I want improved about the broadcasts are the volume which goes up & down throughout the game & that damn screen shrinking to show a hundred scores from Baseball, basketball, college bb, etc.

My 5 yr.old loves this new show on TLC called HI 5. Apparently a similar show has worked in Australia & they just brought it here.

Johnny Mac lit the lamp & the Devils began their rise in the Lou Lam era. I remember we had family over for Easter & all had left by 7, so here I was watching the Ranger game, which started earlier & then the Devils game, by myself. (Damn I should've went to a sportsbar.) Until 95, this was easily the biggest moment in Devil history.

Here's my rant. We really don't need help from other teams. We have a game in hand & the tie-breaker (most wins). As for goalies, Belfour 2.28 gaa; Marty 2.05 Belfour 36 wins, marty 40. Pressure: Tor has 233 goals for; NJ 211. Yeah Leafs won last night, but I don't believe Belfour deserves the Vez over Brodeur.

Even earlier in the game, he just didn't have it. I guess we're spoiled with D history. Yea Stevens will get toasted on occasion. But Smehlik kept either giving up the puck or simply got beat several times.

Some years I really don't care to finish first. This year I truly believe is different. It is definitely to the Devils advantage to finish 1st (in division) & face either Bos. or NYI (or NYRs) Also knowing that only 1 (Flys or Leafs) can advance to round 2. Especially since both teams got key guys at the trade deadline & 1 will be out in round 1. Go Devils!!

It really kills me to do this, but: Leafs 3 Devils 2 I just feel a slight let-down from Sunday.

Didn't Metro channels eliminate 1 of their 3 channels & are down to 2? I thought I read that a while ago. Either way, to make carriers carry all 3, or 2, when sports/traffic/weather can all be put on 1 channel, is retarded; but then again, it's Cablevision. They don't care if hundreds of thousands don't see their channels/events; even though they could probably charge more for advertising.
