  1. There are going to be a lot of maintenance days for Jagr this year. A lot.
  2. It's truly too bad that both teams can't lose tonight.
  3. Dude wants to work. Can't fault him if its his only opportunity.
  4. Tannehill isn't a good QB. Rofl. *in 'Slater' from 'Dazed and Confused' voice* okaaay maaan. He proved he's a good QB today. He has things to work on, but we ran the ball for 20 fvcking yards today. We won because the defense played well and because the QB played well. Period.
  5. I think Tannehill is ready to take the next step. Now he just needs to go out and do it. He's proven he can read NFL defenses. He's smart with the football. His accuracy on deep throws needs to improve a little, but he has all the tools... He just needs to put it all together. As Tannehill goes, so will the Fins- no doubt about that. As far as the o-line, the RG spot is really the only major ?, John Jerry is inconsistent. You just never know what you're gonna get from him. Danny Watkins is now waiting in the wings should Jerry suck/get hurt again. The rest of the line should be pretty good ('should be' being the operative words here). Jonathan Martin had a solid preseason at LT after a slow start to camp. Incognito is a Pro Bowler at LG, Pouncey is one of the top center's in the league and Tyson Clabo is a solid pro at RT. The RG spot is by far the weak link.
  6. Yeah, we lucked out in that regard seeing as we're banged up at CB. But this game still concerns me. Its just the inherent distrust I have in the Dolphins. They need to prove it to me.
  7. No Mingo or Rubin for Cleveland tomorrow. Looks like we'll be without Will Davis and Jamar Taylor, the rookie CB's, and Patterson is banged up and is questionable on the injury report. The CB situation outside of Grimes scares me. After tomorrow's matchup with Weeden, we have Andrew Luck, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Joe Flacco to deal with, in succession. We better gets lots of pressure up front, God knows we have the talent to get heat on the QB. Because Nolan Carroll and Jimmy Wilson don't really put my mind at ease back there. Oh, and Koa Misi signed a 4-year extension. Cool. Please don't lose tomorrow. Please.
  8. Gay, straight, doesn't matter to me- I still hate that motherfvcker.
  9. Played against Peyton in both my leagues this week. I'm down 77 in one and 75 in another. My God was that a ridiculous performance.
  10. Be afraid Jay Feaster. Be very afraid.http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/story/2013/09/05/sp-brian-burke-calgary-flames.html
  11. CR, you might as well get ready to read the 5 paragraph reply on why we should've traded Parise at the deadline and/or the 'Lou should have done more to sign him, he didn't do everything he could, how come Lou didn't threaten his family' response, I mean its as sure a thing as death and taxes.
  12. The 01 team will always drive me insane because they were the best team in the history of the franchise imo, but they knew they were really good and sometimes they got a little arrogant I suspect. You saw that type of 'whatever, we got it' kind of attitude in taking Carolina lightly once they got up 3-0. We had to go 7 with the Leafs, and then they did make short work of Pittsburgh... But it's well known they apparently had limos and sh!t ready to go after game 6 of the Finals, like they thought it was a formality. Once the Gomez goal got waved off, they quit, and I will NEVER understand why. 01 I will take with me to my grave, that team should've won the Cup.
  13. Yeah I was at game 2 of the Florida series as well in 2000 and when Nieds scored on the 2-man disadvantage, the place went nuts. You're right, we were waiting for the other shoe to drop that night because of what had happened the previous 4 years, but that goal might've been the most underrated goal of the entire run because it turned that series completely in the Devils' favor. And if I remember correctly, Nieds had returned that night from the Worrell suspension, adding to the awesomeness of that goal.
  14. That is fvcking terrible. In 5 years, we'll look back on this one like we do the leaping duck jersey Anaheim had in the mid-90's.
  15. There was no local feed, just the ABC broadcast.
  16. Rofl. It's over Damien. Camp opens in a week. No one's giving you $3 million a year. Its contract signing time Mr. Brunner.
  17. So we picked up the Eagles 2011 first round pick they just cut the other day and we released Samuda. This dude Watkins better start loving the sh!t out of football again real soon, that was apparently why Philly got rid of him (they said his passion for the game waned). You're on my time now Watkins, so find the fvcking passion again. @AdamHBeasley: Danny Watkins to the Dolphins a done-deal. A one-year contract, I'm told.
  18. I was there, section 218, row 23, seat 7. We made that place shake that night. One of the best nights of my life.
  19. DR, game 5 was the greatest goaltending duel I've ever seen, bar none. If you want to learn how to play goal, turn on the tape of game 5 and watch two HOF'ers go at it, save for save. Just amazing. Even though we lost, it was one of the best games I have ever attended. I remember Sarge was literally inches away from winning it- he shoveled the puck to the front, it slid along the ice, hit the post, and was cleared away quickly. 19,040 people all lept out of their seats in unison only to have it be one of those 'hands over face, how did that not go in' moments.
  20. Phailures fans are hilarious when it comes to Stevens. If Stevens played for the Phailures, he'd be beloved on the same level as Bobby Clarke. How ironic that the fans of the biggest scumbag team in the league bitch and moan about Stevens being 'dirty'. They'd name a street after him if he played in Philly.
  21. Yeah Loughlin was fine as the pre and post-game TV host, but he sucks balls as a play-by-play guy. The sad thing is he's actually improved from when he first started and he's still terrible. 'HE SHOOTS (5 seconds of having no idea what just happened while Loughlin struggles to get the word 'and' out of his mouth) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand a save by Brodeur'. I mean its just awful. I don't really mind Sherri, but Matt Loughlin is not a TV play-by-play guy, forget radio. He couldn't paint a word picture if his life depended on it.
