BulletToothTony
Gulitti Blog Sutter says he'll be using defensemen to man the points during 5 on 4 but will use a forward on the point during 5 on 3.
Triumph
Sounds like a very bad idea, and it means Martin, Greene, and Rachunek will be in the lineup every night.

squishyx
I'm in favor of spreading out the talent so that we have 2 decent power play units rather then 1 good unit and 1 mediocre. Then again, our D are terrible when it comes to offensive production, hopefully Greene and Martin step things up...but it feels like we are saying that about our PP every year, no? Devils731
So then we get the 2 top forward lines with Rachunek-Greene-Martin and then I'm at a loss for a 4th defenseman to help on the PP. I guess Oduya might be the next best option but he isn't that great and I see him more as the 7th defenseman and that leave White on the 2nd PP unit which is a really bad option. I dunno, I just see the Devils as more effective with Langs as the 4th pointman and one of the 4th liners taking his spot for the 2nd PP forward unit. stevestevens
Im not all for this idea but Sutter has his style and i think if his system worked before, itll work again.

overtime98
langenbrunner should be on the point. He has a perfect shot for the point on the power play. I dont agree with this at all.
Pepperkorn
I think there is no harm asking more of your Dmen. Ummm... just if they coulld just keep the puck in the attack zone I'd be happy. and of course Sutter can change his mind at any time. Jeff Allen
i went to practice today and that's pretty much all they guys were doing. Powerplay drills. elias-zubrus-gionta with rachunek-martin and parise-zajac-clarkson with martin-oduya. I think those combos will work just fine. All the d men we practicing their point shots and martin definitely impressed me picking the corners Also, Colin White was stuck in the face with a puck today and had to be helped off the ice. I did not see him get hit, but when I looked over to the other end of the rink he was on the ice kicking and bleeding profusely. He did not return, so hopefully it's something he'll heal from soon. Pepperkorn
Well - I think I'm just wary because just our d can be sloppy -- oh man I dont want to think about our defense. I'd forgotten I was feeling kind of pumped for the new season... i dont want to read that we've been spoiled by years of stellar defence... oh gawd I feel sick... well... Sutter is more than tackling it head on I guess... oh jeez... our d sucks - I'd forgotten... Oh gawd i HAVE to hand wring... trauma They're offensive... but like offensive to good hockey .. ok not that bad... losing Rafalski -- who cares he sucked as bad as anyone... oh man I feel sick....
