Well this win is pretty useless since PIT will probably win (up 1-0 vs TB late 3rd period). But I guess its a good win for the team mentality, and Marty didn't have to stand on his head all that much like he has the past 4-5 games.

While it's easy to chit chat about our lack of offense, our suspect defense and how Marty "plays too much", the reality is that this was a game we needed to win and we did. Good to see us beating teams we should beat and not letting "easy" points slip away. It was also nice to see the team play solidly with few mistakes. Hopefully this game sets the tone for the rest of the season, as the Devs are going to have to be at the top of their game to stay in the fight for tops in the conference.

Enjoyable win!!

This one is a bit of payback from the Montreal game the other night. The Devils caught two breaks on no-calls. Oduya with a hit from behind just seconds before the Clarkson goal and then White with an elbow/high stick on Sundin with about 1.5 minutes left just before Sundin was called for raping white.

Just another example of the inconsistency that is today's NHL officiating.

I'm still trying to figure out how Brookbank got 4 minutes for roughing. Really? To me thats a little bit serious. If it's like that they should have just given him a major and game misconduct while they were at it. Eh whatever, at least we didn't have to deal with the nonsense that went on in Montreal.
