Well with the NHL award ceremony complete, it is now time to look back at the 2008-2009 predictions that some of us made Everyone who got involved look like a genius with a few answers and an idiot with others. Without further ado...

The Good: WCDF and Moustic for knowing that Redden would be the worst off-season acquisition.

The Bad: WCDF and Moustic believing that Brian Rolston would be the best.

The Good: How about everyone but me correctly guessing a coach that would get fired. Although no one got the actual coach who got fired first correct. Still impressive.

The Maybe Good or Bad: NJTomo44 saying that Dave Tallon would be the first coach to get fired. Hey...if you meant first GM to fire a coach than nice pick.

The Bad: Me choosing Andy Murray as the first coach to get fired when he actually got nominated for the Jack Adams. In my defense, the Blues were the worst team in the West in December. He could have been fired.

The Good: Me for being the only to have the Islanders as the worst team in the league.

The Bad: Everyone else for actually thinking the Islanders wouldn't be the worst team in the league.

The Good: All but one having the Hawks in the playoffs.

The Bad: Jason for being that one.

The Good: Everyone knowing the Rangers would disappoint.

The Bad: Anyone who believed the Devils would go far.

The Good: The two people who had Zdeno Chara winning the Norris

The Bad: Pretty much everyone picking Stamkos to win the Calder.

The Good: Most of us knowing Ovechkin would lead the league in goals.

The Bad: Not one of us thinking Ovechkin would repeat as the Hart Trophy winner.

The Good: thelastonealive saying Price will be the most disappointing player, and the Canadiens will be the most disappointing team.

The Bad: thelastonealive having the Kings/Coyotes as the biggest surprise team.

The Bad: For most of us thinking the Habs would win the East.

The Good: For me nailing my pick that the Bruins would be much better than anyone thought.

The Bad: Why did I think Hossa would become the best player in the league winning the Hart and Art Ross?

The Good: Triumph for picking the right two players for best and worst off-season acquisition.

The Bad: Triumph for having those two players in the wrong spots (Best-Rolston, Worst-Streit).

The Good: JesterDevil correctly predicting that Havlat would stay healthy all year and Stamkos would disappoint…and Triumph for going with Spezza as biggest disappointment.

The Bad: WCDF going with Garon for biggest surprise, and all the love for Florida on the board.

The Good: Most of believing the Wings would be in the Finals.

The Bad: Nobody seeing the Pens making it to the finals let alone winning the Cup..
