Deke
I saw a band that played on the floor in a small room in Williamsburg last night and I was close enough the guitarists sweat was landing on me, this is why arena rock will forever be inferior. metallidevils
god this show was awesome. i hope i get my hearing and voice back by tomorrow night's show. by far the LOUDEST crowd ever. also, MSG is a complete dump. i dont care about the 'history', the Rock trumps that arena in every possible way. Please let me know how that goes--how much he's charging and how all that works out. I definitely planned on getting the MP3 CD off Metallica's website. A video would be amazing! EDIT: Just listened to a few of the YouTube videos. I noticed under the information box, it said DVDs will have "soundboard audio." The picture is pretty damn good, but the YouTube audio sounds like the concert was recorded in a combination of a tin can and a men's bathroom. What's the deal? If its recorded off the soundboard they have different receivers to get the "real sound" before it hits the crowd so it is slightly different. Sometimes the singers voice is a bit higher and in the case of a band like Metallica, they probably deepen it, even in life performances. It's probably a bit thinner than the live quality too because they want to kill the crowd noise for a sound audible to a crowd to buy. Shapeshift
How were the openers? It was Lamb of God and Volbeat, right?
devilsfan26
How were the openers? It was Lamb of God and Volbeat, right? I can't imagine Lamb of God being that good in an arena. It kind of stinks how huge they've become.
metallidevils
volbeat was decent, but they were kind of...weird. lamb of god was awful and i had my earplugs in the entire time.
