David Puddy
A sad day here... 3 cops killed... the first police officers killed in the line of active duty here in 18 years. Seems like yet another headcase. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090404/ap_on_...sburgh_shooting Poplawski had feared "the Obama gun ban that's on the way" and "didn't like our rights being infringed upon," said Edward Perkovic, his best friend. ...Poplawski had once tried to join the Marines, but was kicked out of boot camp after throwing a food tray at a drill sergeant, Perkovic said. Another longtime friend, Aaron Vire, said Poplawski feared that President Barack Obama was going to take away his rights, though he said he "wasn't violently against Obama." Vire, 23, said Poplawski once had an Internet talk show but that it wasn't successful. He said Poplawski owned an AK-47 rifle and several powerful handguns, including a .357 Magnum. ... Poplawski had been laid off from his job at a glass factory earlier this year, said another friend, Joe DiMarco. DiMarco said he didn't know the name of the company, but knew his friend had been upset about it.

arena2003
I have a feeling we've only touched the tip of the iceburg when it comes to these working class snap and shoot cases. "...When it comes to these working class snap and shoot cases."? 3 policemen dead and this about the "working class"? Pray for the families of these 3 brave policemen and respect those that hold a gun, along with a badge, while you and your family sleep safe at night. Amazing how elite libs will betray those (those = working class) that are not only the police, but the very people that individuals like you Deke, that seek to empower "when" you need them to vote. "Working Class" includes the police Deke.. your loft in NYC, paid for by daddy, needs redecorating as u live in a very small world called your tiny little brain. God bless. This is news to me, who wants to have a party at my loft to watch the game on tuesday. I sure hope it's not in a neighborhood with many negros or mexicans! RowdyFan42
"...When it comes to these working class snap and shoot cases."? 3 policemen dead and this about the "working class"? Yes. You're missing Deke's point. You seem to think he was out to disrespect the dead cops, but that's nowhere near what he was getting at. Deke's point is that this is going to start happening a lot more frequently. He feels we're going to see an increasing number of situations where otherwise normal middle- and lower-class people snap under the strain of the distressed economy and start randomly shooting people: cops, firemen, regular ordinary citizens, you name it. And considering your hatred of Obama and your stance on where he's leading the nation and the economy, I'm surprised you don't agree with Deke. arena2003
Yes. You're missing Deke's point. 42Pelosi, Deke is hiding under his or her Obama Coins while 4 people are dead. God Bless, as the working class includes the police that I support and the 3 dead "soldiers" that protected the people of Pittsburgh. Grow up Pelosi42, as there is sun outside of mom & dads basement (and VH1 Classics) as you can still join us Repubs on a march towards freedom of speech? Hmmm, you want Orwell 42... "Yes. You're missing Deke's point. You seem to think he was out to disrespect the dead cops, but that's nowhere near what he was getting at." Can Deke explain what the "working class" is in his terminology? So funny to see liberals run for cover as they try to hide mistakes by bringing on the chief rhetorical socialist minister 42 to make amends about the definition of "working class". Deke is mini me to 42. God Bless those Officers and according to Deke and Rowdy... the police don't exist as "working class" folk.
Deke
I'm talking about someone who had been laid off from his job and had been driven to the breaking point, with the way this country may be headed this isn't gonna be the last time we see something like this. I'm sure hate mongering and hyperbole about takin' his guns sure didn't help. When I go down to the range to shoot every other Sunday, all I hear is "THAT NIGGERS COMING FOR OUR GUNS". Scary times ahead it seems.

This has nothing to do with Rep/Dem. I am not buying into any garbage. It is a known fact that during hard times hate group become popular because some idiots get mad and instead of trying to find solutions, they play the blame game. I said scary times because it is scary when cops are getting shot like this. Stuff like that just shouldn't happen and words cannot express my sorrows for their family's and fellow officers. oofrostonoo
What a crock Excuses for a loner loser. You don't have to call the guy a loser. There are 2 professions that are handed out to any idiot in the world. They are cops and teachers (it's a bit harder to become a teacher). So congratulations on conquering the Mount Everest of professions. I'm not sure what you find unrealistic about the shooting range.
