daneyko_booster Posted May 20, 2004 Share Posted May 20, 2004 You know, it's weird. I've gotten everything I wanted out of the playoffs after the first round. After the Devils were out my number 1 priority was seeing the Leafs defeated (hometown team I hate with a passion). That meant cheering for the Flyers in round 2, which was extremely distasteful, but necessary given that they are the lesser of two evils in my books (but not by much). Next I wanted to see the Flyers eliminated (hopefully that happens tonight) because they are a long-time division rival and defeating us should amount to nothing for them. After that, the Lightning have to lose in the Finals because Andreychuk can never get a Cup and I don't want any other Eastern Conference team winning other than us. In the west, I wanted Detroit to lose to see Steve Thomas & Curtis Joseph eliminated (noticing the anti-Leafs trend here?). I wanted Calgary to win because Iginla is awesome and totally clutch. Having him and Sakic on the same line again in the Worlds, I can't think of two better money players in the game, period. So, hopefully Calgary can pull it out in the Finals against Tampa.
