Like you, I actually liked Volch and his game for the most part and thought he was getting more grief from the fans than he deserved. However, decisions have to be made and I guess this one opens more opportunities for signings so it's the more logical choice. Yeah I definitely thought he brought something to the team, and I assume Lou was trying to trade him, but there's just too many guys who are ready to step up right now.
