A German national hockey player was banned for two years after refusing to take a doping test for several hours because he was relaxing at home with his girlfriend.The Court of Arbitration for Sport banned Florian Busch on Tuesday because he declined to immediately give a sample when German anti-doping officials arrived unannounced in March 2008.

"Florian Busch refused to submit to doping control," the court said in a statement.

Despite testing negative, he can't suit up for the Polar Bears Berlin again until February 2011.

Germany coach Uwe Krupp said Busch was sharing "a private moment" with his girlfriend when the testing team arrived

seems pretty bizzare?

was he sharing a private moment in a bathroom stall at the team training facility...

it's not like they would track people down at their homes...

seems pretty irrelevant since german hockey is perhaps a slight cut above team japan.

Well if you read the whole article it says they came to his home. At the end of the article it mentions that people have complained about the doping methods becoming too "intrusive." I'd say showing up at someone's house unannounced would be intrusive.

You walk in unannounced like that, well.....what you see is what you get.

"Oh excuse us!!! We didn't mean to disturb you and the uh.....young lady!!! We just want you to whiz in the cup here if you please!!!"
