NJDevs4978
I'd fire Jim Zorn if I could Man, the Redskin turnovers just killed whatever shot I had (and I would have had enough points to come back if the Giant defense hadn't put up like twenty of their own). That was a good pickup as it turned out...I was thinking of them too for this week but they've just been so god-awful since the 5-0 start and the Skins' offense actually looked a little better in recent weeks until tonight. Oh well, a lot of teams wouldn't have even won three of four and made the second round after losing two stud RB's...maybe next year I'll have a little more karma. I'll need it cause odds are I'll never have a roster this good again, especially here. At least I managed to finally squeeze out a finals appearance in another league (by five points as it turned out ) and beating two teams in the playoffs with Favre on their roster was a little small payback for him screwing me ON two fantasy teams and with the Jets last year. Anyway good luck to the two top seeds next week. Hopefully the players decide it and not some coaching decision beyond anyone's control (like someone playing a quarter or a half). NJDevs4978
lol, I've actually had a lot of luck in my other league so far...the first round I was the six seed facing a weak third seed (it's an eighteen-team league with three divisions) and won that game easily. Then in the next round I played the seven seed since Yahoo! does straight brackets instead of reseeding and the #7 upset the #2 in the first round by two points. So I beat the #7 seed by five after he played Bernard Scott over Jerious Norwood thinking Scott would play where it turned out Norwood would have given him enough points to squeak by. Now I'm going up against the #4 seed in the final round - and voila, he has to play without a kicker because Folk finally got cut and he's already used his allotment of (twelve) moves for the season. I know lame, but I've been vehemently against the move limit all year and ironically it may benefit me now. So maybe, just maybe karma's going my way for once. RSC
Figures I outscored everybody else but the person I played this week Just joking, good luck to UDX and MB3 and the finals and I'll see you in the third place game, Hasan
CRASHER
I really hope U-Dog wins (no not because of his opponent).... it's kinda cool to see the guy who got kicked around like a ball from Nick Folk's unemployed leg, turn it around and hit the big one... I think it's good... it's hope for all FF owners everywhere.... hell least it's an all-Cowboys final
UnderDogX
uhh...Thanks? kidding...yeah, I told you once I figured out this was a keeper league I wanted to take it more seriously and do some serious drafting. Other than the kicker and D I don't think I've really churned my roster too much. My work league has me at 2nd as well and this week will be the first game I play in the playoffs since last week was a bye...
aylbert
It'd be funnier if your team didn't suck... Your team sucks more? One day you are going to realize luck has a lot to do with winning a h2h league... my team scored more points than you... but I did not get the W's you did... simple as that. Please just take the pokes at 'luck' like any normal person would...
NJDevs4978
btw I took a few minutes to put together the current keeper list (I assume only micromanagers will make moves at this point), under the agreed-upon rules at the beginning of the season: -All FA pickups are worth a 15th round pick -All traded players are worth the same round pick where the player was drafted -All drafted players are of course worth the round they were drafted in I couldn't upload the Excel file so this might look a little off - not to mention take a long time to scroll through. There were five trades during the season involving twelve players so I denoted all of them and the FA pickups. NJDevs4978
Well looks like another big week for Udx gives him this year's title, all due credit - his guys stepped up when the playoffs started and really all year long. Fourth in points, second in record...definitely a worthy winner. I guess I should take a slight bow for picking him as the winner before the season started Maybe next year I won't get both my top backs hurt before the playoffs - but still a likely third place finish here and second in another league is a good season even if I couldn't win my first fantasy title. Hopefully it'll be my turn next year, seeing as there've been no dynasties here since I've joined (CRASHER, Masked, iggy, VALUE and now Udx all winning). CRASHER
don't run away guys after the season ends... we have NEW INFIGHTING TO DO about the keeper situation and what we plan to do about it Like I said before... I'm glad U-Dog won... much like the football team we follow he was much mocked and picked on for past fails... but he's stepped up and got it done.... good for him!!!!!! UnderDogX
Woot! so its officially official I guess....I'm pretty stoked given my previous attempts at this thing. I'm going to be playing in my Fantasy league championship at work as well so it looks like this year, when i took some thing seriously, got a little luck on my side, and had some good matchups then it showed anything could happen. Now let's get this ball rolling on keepers....being champion I'll start the first controversy....what are the rules about trading keepers?? [i.e. I trade Beanie Wells (a 15th round keeper) and my 2nd rounder for next season to [hypothetically] Value for Ray Rice (his 5th round keeper)] let the games begin

But it does seem like we invent something new here every year If that's the case I could definitely do a deal or three with my stock of keeper candidates I'd imagine both teams would have to trade the same number of picks in every deal to even it out at 15 draft picks though, like with the draft order trades last year. Hi, I'm VALUE!
I would suspect that, since a keeper is nothing more than the draft choice of a sure thing, then when it is appropriate for us to start trading draft picks, we could start trading keepers. But it's really Scott's call, and while I share the excitement for next season's draft, since it's the best time you can have on a message board without the OT After Hours password, it's WAY too early to start talking about trading keepers. CRASHER
I don't see why you couldn't.... or shouldn't be able to do this... but let's set a few ground rules now..... as of this moment... ALL rosters are frozen... no adds...no drops... no trades.... this freeze is set from now until we set the draft order in 2010 this benefits people... let's say U-Dog makes that trade... and Ray Rice breaks his leg and tears his ACL (I know... tragic ) the U-Dog REALLY screwed himself... and for the same reason I like the draft as late as possible... I'd think you'd wanna make keeper trades as late as possible.... but I think freezing rosters NOW, stops people from picking up guys (IE Matt Moore for example) and milking cheap keepers everyone ok with this?? NJDevs4978
Yeah, no issue with that...I didn't literally want this to be a year-round league. Plus at least it gives us something to do between the layoff from the draft order selection till the start of the draft next year Edited December 29, 2009 by Hasan4978
aylbert
Trading picks now for next season seems a bit rough... and trading keepers around, etc... it may just be best to do a roster freeze to keep things in good order until we are ready to organize 2010 fantasy football. Just my thought... but I'll keep my ball here this time around no matter what this time

Hi, I'm VALUE!
I thought you could only keep a player once? If so, the one-time same-round draft hit for most players would be OK, since the penalty is you can't keep him a second time.
