He was never LA property, so what that he didn't choose the Kings? It's like how the Orioles still boo Tex when he gets up to the plate. It's fvcking stupid. We didn't boo Souray for picking Edmonton even though many reports said he was "all but ours" Again, they're booing him because he kept them hoping and then he didn't pick them. I don't think they see it as "we stole him". I hate when Kovalchuk tries to be a Hungarian statesman in the middle of the game. It's like, "c'mon, man".
