What has to happen is that everyone he plays with does really well and then does really poorly away from him - Elias has only played 175 minutes with him, but they've scored 6 goals and given up 1 - when Elias is away from Jagr, he's been on the ice for 13 goals for and 23 goals against. I think it more was showing how random that stat can be. Jagr and Elias are the same players when they're together as when they're apart. They don't become scoring machines or defensive walls only when playing together, yet the randomness of the this seasons numbers says, for Elias, he was a monster if with Jagr and pretty horrid when not playing with Jagr. I understand your point, but the way I see it, by fact, it shows that Jagr has deviated from the mean as far as being on the ice for GF and off the ice for GA. The rest of the team goes pretty sequentially. That's why I don't think the range matters, nor do I think Bernier's -15 is weird just because another Devil is +20, because Bernier has players close to him. But, the fact that Jagr, is +20, shows me that he is playing a more responsible game than the rest of the team. I also suspect it could me the team possesses the puck better with Jagr on the ice, but that's speculation as I don't know the numbers there.
