    Our Fans

Am I the only one who thinks its a little ridiculous to expect fans to get into it when your team can barely get the puck into the attacking zone? Maybe if they could actually generate a single scoring chance the Devils could give their fans a little hope or at least the belief that they CAN come back or win the game. Its a direct relationship: give the fans energy and they'll give you energy. If the team is going to sleep through 53 minutes of the game I am pretty sure the fans are entitled to do the same.

    Elias on "C"

This should settle who REALLY runs this team... if you type in www.mb30.com (Brodeur's site) in your browser, it directs you to www.jl15.com (Langenbrunner's site) PWN4GE!!1!
  3. Why do they ALWAYS have to be trailing in the third to put in an effort like that?! If they played with that kind of intensity the whole game they'd be up 4-1 right now!
  4. You nailed it Sickman. Ill give em 5 mins in the third to score or I'm leaving.
  5. This is unbearable. If Mac says "the effort was there" at all after today, he's high. I've seen better intensity in pre-season aames.
  6. I'll be at this one, it's virtually in my backyard. Section 123x Row H if you wanna swing by. Will probably wear my Mastodon hoodie in lieu of a jersey today.
  7. ...What makes you say this? He's been one of the bright points in my opinion. I was hoping someone would start a thread like this because I've been thinking about what the lines could look like for a while. That being said, why does it seem like every season we have a "When Everyone is Healthy..." thread? Anyway... Let's give this a shot: Parise - Zajac - Zubrus Elias - Arnott - Tedenby Kovalchuk - Josefson - Langenbrunner Pelley - Mair - Clarkson Greene - Volchenkov White - Tallinder Taormina - Salmela Brodeur Hedberg (McKenna) MOVED: Rolston, maybe Clarkson RETIRE: Salvador (I don't think he'll be able to play again.) *** Before anyone flips about Kovalchuk playing on the "third" line... I just want to say I don't believe in line hierarchy anymore. In the new game, you need to be able to roll 4 solid, comprehensive lines. He'd be a good fit with Josefson as he is always talking about how good the kid is, and Langenbrunner is a perfect compliment because he's probably the only one who won't try to feed Kovy every chance he gets. He'll keep him honest.
  8. ATTN: MSG camera dude... ZOOM OUT!!!!!
  9. Red uni's on the road... just feels right!
  10. The Devils lineup tonight is worse than their pre-season lineup. This will be a long night. Good chance Vancouver won't be my other-favorite-team after tonight

    O-M-G

PTree is unreal. I just saw them at Radio City last month. Easily the best live show I've ever seen. Such an incredibly talented and brilliant group of musicians. Highly recommended.
  12. 12-Step Action Plan for New Jersey: Step 1: Admit you have a problem Step 2: Dump Leblond Step 3: Dump Pelley (Use behind-the-back fake tennis ball throw to confuse him. Lock door behind you.) Step 4: Dump Rolston for cap space. (I hear the Florida Panthers will sign anyone.) Step 5: Trade Fraser (Because it's not within the rules to GIVE a player to a team) Step 6: Sign Adam Mair Step 7: Call up Josefson to take Rolston's spot Step 8: Bring up Sestito, Palmieri, and Corrente Step 9: Send Taormina & Urbom to Albany where they belong Step 10: Have Scott Stevens permanently remove Langenbrunner's attitude Step 11: Inform Kovalchuk that hockey is a team sport Step 12: Tell Marty the season started. Re-structured lines (In my fantasy world) Parise-Zajac-Kovalchuk Elias-Arnott-Zubrus Clarkson-Josefson-Langenbrunner Palmieri-Mair-Sestito Green-Tallinder Volchenkov-Corrente White-Salvador (If he ever plays again...) DISREGARD: Salary Cap ACQUIRE: Anti-Anxiety Medication
  13. On my way to the arena from Long Island as we speak. Thank god beer is legal on trains!! I call Zajac as our first goal of 2010-2011!!
  14. I saw the same thing on the ticker and I was pissed, but it DID say REPORT. After watching the ticker scroll through again, they removed the Devils bit. I guess they have decided not to start a wild fire here. Oh man this could be a fun 18 hours.
  15. Another thing to consider: there will be a fan-festival outside the arena beginning a few hours before the game. Every home opener there is usually a band playing and a bunch of other stuff going on, which pretty much ensures at least a few thousand people hanging outside the arena a few hours early. Solid chance they will be there early enough to grab the $10 seats. I agree with anyone saying you should prob get there no later than 1:00 or 2:00 if you want to make sure your trip isn't a waste.
  16. @njdevil26: The official sausage of Jamie Langenbrunner!!!

  17. Why is everyone so obsessed with what Niedermayer did AFTER he left the Devils? If Scott's # 27 is to go up to the rafters at any point, the night should be a celebration of what he helped this team achieve while he dedicated 13 years of his life to putting them on the map. I'm not saying everyone should be 100% in approval, but should the night come, every Devils fan that watched the team capture even ONE Stanley Cup title should be there applauding him. Without Nieds, its very possible the Devils are still in search of their first Championship.
  18. ...What did I miss??? Do elaborate, because apparently I suck at paying attention.
