Doesn't he have any moves?? He's taken a dozen shots in this series, straight at the pads of the goalie. Come on, kid, deke a little, will 'ya!!

Can't blame him for trying to go five-hole on Bryz this series. Until he shows us that he can make that stop consistently, keep challenging him on it.

Thought about this last night as well. I don't know if it's that he doesn't have moves, or if it's just nerves. A lot of times a player will go with the simple play, simply because they don't want to get too fancy. If he's nervous, his first instinct could just be to see the net and shoot at this point. It worked in Game 7 against Theodore.

He really probably should have had at least 1 though in that game last night.

Bryzgalov does a good job of covering the bottom of the net, you have to go high to score anything.

If you break down all the goals, low has worked more than high...

1. GAME 1 - Parise low.

2. GAME 1 - Zajac low.

3. GAME 1 - Sykora low.

4. GAME 2 - Larsson high.

5. GAME 2 - Clarkson low (got off the ice, but more low than high).

6. GAME 2 - Zajac low (got off the ice, but more low than high).

7. GAME 3 - Elias high (through arm-body; I'll count it).

8. GAME 3 - Kovalchuk low.

9. GAME 3 - Parise low.

10. GAME 3 - Ponikarovsky low.

I'm obviously not counting the Game 2 empty-netter.

I'm with you, Scipp. I think it's nerves. He's dribbled a couple off his foot in these playoffs. But he's been a monster on the boards, so I cant complain. Hell, I thought Harold should've started before Poni last night. So what the hell do I know!!

Kovy also beat him high last night but the post made the save.

Henrique made some mistakes last night, as did Larsson. I am happy they are both in there contributing. This can only improve their careers to get this experience.

I was considering the Clarkson and Zajac goals as high as they both chipped the puck over his pads. He had the whole of the bottom of the net covered with his pads. But still as you point out a grater number of those goals have come from shooting low.

This, +1

5-hole looked real bad in games 1.

However, yeah I think he needs to throw a move in here or there

Henrique is the second best forward tonight in my mind (Zubrus is No. 1) because he generates scoring chances and creates many turnovers (Zubrus' GWG).

This. I'd think that 2/3 NJs 2 on 1 are because of him and the hard work and smart plays. Hats off to him.
